I need to see a scan of a 2012-2014 Beetle with 6spd manual and factory backup camera. I figure it will also have navigation. A TDI would be great but not necessary. I've added aftermarket Nav and RVC with Idatalink Maestro RR to my 2013 Beetle TDI with manual transmission, and am experiencing some strange behavior. I've seen DSG trans beetles that work but no manual. I would like to compare my coding to another manual transmission beetle with rear view camera installed.

I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from posting scans, but I'm skeptical that codings appropriate for factory Nav and RVC will shed much of any light one what's necessary to to make your aftermarket stuff work.
I also notice that idatalink.com doesn't seem to consider your Beetle supported.

Not sure what you mean. Idatalink shows that the Maestro RR fully supports all trim levels and years of The Beetle. The module actually works for the most part. It's just not exchanging navigation data with the MFD. The Audio data, and steering wheel controls work perfectly. The module also doesn't recognize the reverse signal on the can bus. The CECM is wired differently on the manual trans vs DSG, but I would think the bus signals would have been the same. I was just curious if there was some coding difference that enables the data exchange. I know on some models, this won't work until you disconnect the compass module, but I can't find any evidence I have one of those in the Beetle.

Beetle aftermarket Nav display in MFD with Idatalink Maestro RR
After more searching, I think the main issue I'm dealing with isn't related to the CECM. If I code nav into the installation list, I get the nav display on the MFD, but the instrument cluster is frozen in whatever state it was in when the nav connected to it. The last time I tried it, the instruments were stuck with most of the warning lights on, including the parking brake. The car starts, and runs fine, the tach, speedo, and fuel gauge are working, but the lights stay on. The MFD is also stuck on whatever screen was up when the nav connected, and does not update. The steering wheel controls for the mfd do nothing also. I tested the controls with vcds, and the switches are seen by the controller, but the mfd doesn't respond. Once it's in this state, the only way out of it is to remove nav from the installation list, and disconnect the battery for a few seconds. Turning the car off does nothing. Even after many minutes of power off, and doors closed/locked, the MFD is still lit, and stuck on the last screen. The warning lights also stay on. Once the nav is removed from the installation list, and the battery disconnected for a few minutes then re-connected, everything goes back to normal. It's as if selecting nav freezes the communication to the instrument cluster at least partially with only the tach, speedo, and fuel gauge working. I see nothing in the scan that explains this, but here is the scan anyway. I know the radio, and nav don't show up as connected, but that's how it worked on my Golf with no issues, and idatalink says it should work. I'm going to update the Nav firmware tomorrow, and see if anything changes.
Any ideas are welcome.

I updated the Nav firmware, and OS for the Kenwood. The result was the same as before. ADS is working on finding a manual transmission Beetle TDI to test since they only tested a DSG, and assumed the manual would be the same. There is definitely something different, and I hope to have an explanation soon. I had hoped to see a scan from a manual transmission Beetle TDI with Nav to see if there are any obvious differences in coding other than Nav in the installation list. It would appear this is a rare combination.

I've found several scans of other Beetle TDI's and notice one difference between them, and mine. They all have B9 Aux display in the list of installed modules. I have the gauges on the dash, and they work fine, but no B9 module in the installation list ( which I'm told is the aux. Instruments on the dash ). The B9 is not available to add in the installation list either. I would appreciate any information on this.

I thought this might be the case, but I recently received a scan from another Beetle TDI 6 spd manual that has the same modules I have, but also has the B9. I don't mind upgrading the 09-Cent.Elect. if that will add functions I want, but I would like to make sure it will work, then I need to get the details on how to do it. I've seen one other Beetle that was upgraded, but can't get the details. If the last scan I found is any indication, it would appear I don't need to upgrade. The only difference between that Beetle and mine is the software version on the 09 module, and the fact it has B9, and Telematics. I would post that scan, but I only have it in PDF, and can't get it to post as code and keep the format correct.
