That's rather bizarre. Why would controller 76 be reporting an H15 open or short to ground fault as a result of a defective G419 module fault under controller 03? Wild goose chase springs to mind!

It will be interesting to see if fixing the G419 fault does then indeed cause the controller 76 fault to disappear.

I don't think that is what Wolfgang is saying.

I think he is saying that the 0x76 module is INOP during this fault present in the 0x03 ESP.

The short for beeper speaker even if rear H15 is bad.......... forward one would still work I imagine.

That is why auto-scans for conflicts are important.
I myself didn't recall reading this or observing it........great to know though!

Hmmm, well still haven't had luck getting anything to work. ESP fault was out of the blue as it never showed on a scan before but the ESP light was illuminated on the dash the night before running the full scan I posted here and I could not get it to turn off with the button.

Here is a full scan I just ran now and the fault for the ESP does not show anymore but the park assist still won't work.
Don't mind the faults with the radio again, I have an aftermarket bluetooth module that piggy backs to the stock wiring harness and cd changer and it doesn't allow for communication through canbus so it sees it as a fault.

hello, lets see if I can help you. Today we worked on a 2006 A4 same DTC, this one was intermittent system on off, plus fake warnings. that's what lead us to check proximity sensors in this case G202.... we also connected the car to AUDI remotely for other issues.

this code we found 01543 - Parking Aid Warning happened to be a G202 pig tail broken. the following TSB pic show you how it suppose to be. ours was damaged open.

Force the DTC to vacate at the module by crimping in a resistor of the rated capacity for tracks to H15

If the DTC doesn't go away ............the module may actually be bad.

I have checked each parking sensor individually via the measuring blocks that vagcom gives and each one seems to be working correctly when I place my hand in front of the sensors. Values change for the respective sensor.
I did also remove my bumper and check wiring to each parking sensor and none are tight pulling on the wires or any problems at the connector. Even checked continuity across all wires, no shorts to ground, no crossed wires, no damage to wires, and no broken connectors.

Jack, would you happen to know the rated capacity of the speaker/H15?

I did purchase a used PDC module from an 07 S4 avant and recoded it for my car and still have the same problem so I am assuming its not module related.

I don't have one handy to measure but the H15 is not part of the speaker for the radio and is isolated to :

Removing and installing rear parking aid warning buzzer -H15- (Avant)

Removing :

Fitting location: at rear left of luggage compartment behind side trim
Remove left side trim
Unplug electrical connector.
Unscrew threaded pin for fasteners using a TORX screwdriver.
Lift out warning buzzer

Installing :

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Press threaded pins into fasteners.
Install left side trim

Interesting that the etka states that only one buzzer exists and uses a different controller part # than in scan.

UNLESS

Do you have front and rear park assist or just rear?

I bought my B7 A4 Avant used, and the parking assist, which I only have in the rear, worked fine up until a few months ago.

Confirmed controller is wrong part # and wrong buzzer possibly .......that module in scan is for front and rear park aid.

Correct parts based on VIN #

8E0-054-635D is module and buzzer is 8E0-054-635C

Well thats odd. I have replaced the module and speaker/h15 with the same exact part numbers that were in the car. I only have rear parking sensors, and they worked fine for almost 2 years of me owning the car.

Well I saw the discrepancy in the Etka.

I had office call dealer for me with your VIN # from your scan.
Those are the #s that are called for .............for your car.

Call your dealer to double check but etka also confirms that the module is incorrect for just rear park aid

That's really weird. I don't get why it would be wrong. The parking module in my car was part number 8E0-919-283-D and I bought another used module on eBay from an 07 S4 Avant that only had rear parking sensors as well and it had the same exact part number for the module.

Either way I'm going to talk to my buddy who is a parts guy on Monday and see what he has to say.

Thanks again to everyone for your help. You've all been super helpful.

Well, I finally got it fixed!

I was ordering a new set of gaskets for my roof rail since they were causing a huge leak inside my car. While I was at it I ordered a new buzzer/H15. Replaced it again and all is well. Thats what I get for trying to save a few bucks and order the buzzer/H15 from eBay. Although it came from a dealer that sells on eBay, was the correct part number, had all the correct stampings but was $10 less than anywhere else. Less learned. I'll stick to either ECS or the dealer for OEM parts from now on. Must have been old stock since the buzzer had a 2009 date on it while my new one from ECS had a 2014 date.

I'm glad I have working parking sensors now almost a year after they went dead! Big thanks to anyone that helped, gave input, read my thread and racked their brains about it. I really appreciate it, glad to have people like you in the VW/AUDI world that are knowledgable with these cars and provided so much help in diagnosing the problem and different things I can check. Thanks so much!
