Hi all,

As the title say I have swapped out the original radio unit for an RNS315. I have been unable to turn on the bluetooth in the device using VCDS and suspect I need to make changes elsewhere, such as CAN gateway first. Just not sure what?

I appreciate that their is every possibility that it is not there however i was told by the vendor that he had bluetooth working on it is his old car.

At present though I am unable to change any setting on it, disabling the cd autochanger for example, without getting an error 31 from the software.

I am wondering it there is anything else i need to disable as I am getting some infotainment errors also.

Could be that he had an external module as well. Have you tried Module 37 Navigation. I think it is under Byte 4 bit 6 Bluetooth Audio Streaming, uncheck the box. Have you checked on the back of the unit? If it has bluetooth it will have a MAC address. If the MAC address is all 0's then you are out of luck.

Checked the photo on the label on the unit I took before fitting in and there is a MAC address (not just zeros). Any time I try and save changes in module 37 VCDS gives me a error 31 "request out of range".
