Hi all,

This is my first problem encounter with HVAC module and I will really appreciate your help here.

1:> Very short history for a background
Everything started with error codes

00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)
002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent

And ended up with 2 AC pipes been changed

2:> Then another problem manifested itself >> Basic settings not performed.
a) Here my own garage is asking about 20 hours of labor to take dash board totally out in order to access unit itself
b) Official Audi Reading performed diagnostics, same results here as well, asking 3K GBP to remove dashboard and access the air_distribution_hoising

3:> Activity in question
Performing basic settings adaptation procedure ended up in failure. Have a video captured during adaptation and key point captured as still images following
.
Basic transcript/key moments are
a) Basic settings adaptation started (On/OFF/Next)
b) 00:45.57 sec>>Flaps started to move and make noise (first still image)
c) 01:17.47 sec >> learn/adap switched to <0.00V> <Not Occup.> <0.0%> and <11.70V> (second still image)
d) 01:17.57 sec >> switched to <Aborted> <N/A> <N/A> <11.70V> (thurd still image)
e) 01:17.70 sec >> Switched to <N/A> <N/A> <N/A> <N/A> (fourth still image)

4:> Questions
a) Are those basic settings importable ? Assuming I have them as binary file, can it be uploaded to controller using VCDS or been manually populated ?
b) Any way (using VCDS) to disable 'perform basic settings adaptation' routine been a show_stopper for A/C compressor to work properly ?
c) Any means to 'reset' OR 'reboot' controller and force it back to normal ? Some suggest to disconnect battery and wait for 10 mins ?

5:> The Bottom line
In the most AirCon requiring time of the year, it is quite annoying to not have A/C working and I will appreciate any shape or form of Your help to get this done.

Many thanks in advance, stay safe,
Guray

You need to fix the hard faults with the positioning motors before Basic Settings will run successfully.

However, I do not think any of these faults would prevent the A/C Compressor from running.

-Uwe-

PS: No, Basic Settings are not "importable". I do not think a cold boot will help, but it certainly doesn't cost much to try.

Appreciate Your reply Uwe, thanks for that,

Indeed, accessing flap motors to service them is 'biggest' problem I have as dashboard removal is quite costly endeavour, for money asked by official Audi service, I can buy a small hatchback :-(. I've checked again with my VCDS, looking at measuring blocks and compressor shut-off codes seems to be '2', '12, '0' and '0'. From info available on internet I've found that

2 Compressoroff (basic setting not performed or not performed without error.)
and
12 Compressor off (request from the engine control unit, via data bus.

So, my next steps seems to be dashboard removal and replacement of V107, V300 and V111 flap servo motors.

Thanks again for Your help, Regards,
Guray

Like UWE said , Inside flap will not stop Compressor from running, so you have different problem.
On My Mk5 fresh air flap was making terrible noise , never was able to close before I chnage it, but never stop Compressor form running.
And why would they chnage A/C pipe, High Pressure sensor should be replaceable by it self .

Hi, we got that code on Q7 4L 2007 and now we just don't have aircondition anymore. It worked ok, some issues now and then with flaps. And I had to play (it was stupid) with this adaptation.
And I am 100% sure that it locked aircondition to economy-mode.
Is there some kind of help to cure this cituation. Some way to cancel this basic setting need. I know that I have to fix my flaps-motors but, if only whitout hurry.

Regards to all,

Kenneth

When you have faults like "Mechanical Failure" for a Flap Positioning Motor, then Basic Settings will fail.

Yes I know that. But problem is that ac. worked just fine (with those flap faults) But when I was just stupid to run, this basic setting procedure. It turned whole system into economy mode and thats it. No ac.
anymore. So it is obvious that this basic setting procedure is shutting down hole ac-system if there is a fault in flaps.
I just wonder that is there a way to change this basic-setting procedure to not close ac. even if there is a flap-problem.
My ac was working just fine (with small issues), before I screwed it up.
At least someone could tell folks that if You run this and You have an problem in Your system there is no going back without a 3000$ payment to garage for ripping out whole dachbord.
Same as if You test Your engine and there is a faultcode and engine woun't start until all codes are fixed.
