All depends on the sw version of instrument cluster and BCM2.
If channel 98 is not present, it doesn't matter.

But due to some possible version conflicts, it could be the case that it is NOT possible to deactivate that beep

I just tried the "door chime removal magic" but no full success. (Audi A6 C7 4G - 2013)

The part below works but it is only for IGNITION = ON, ENGINE = OFF

46 - Central Conv.
10 - Adaptation
Channel 98 > Read
Stored value = "1" > enter New value = "0" > Test > Save


The recipe for IGNITION = ON, ENGINE = ON did not work

46 - Central Conv.
07 - Coding
Long code helper
Byte 15 > binary "00000000" (00 hex) > change it to "00000101" (05 hex)
Do it > Coding accepted


The thing is that all the info I gathered talks about 2 versions:

a) when you have originally "00" hex and change it to "05" hex (00000000 > 00000101) < this did not work for me
b) when you have originally "47" hex and change it to "4F" hex (01000111 > 01001111)

My question is, is it safe to try to enter "4F" to byte 15 regardless of having initially "00" hex (as "05" hex did not work).
Or just set the fourth bit to "1" meaning "00" hex to "08" hex (00000000 > 00001000)

All info appreciated :)
