What have you done to investigate this electrical fault so far?

Im guessing this sensor has 3 wires. Is that correct ?

What is the voltage on all three wires to at least decimal points on each wire. An Engine code will help me to help you.

Do that test on the wires at Ignition on, then idle and again at wide open throttle.

Do you have Fuel pressure measurement equipment ?

18974 - Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (G410)
P2542 - 001 - Short to Plus - Intermittent

Intermittent... so if you clear the code out does it keep coming back? Did you maybe unplug the G410 sensor while the ignition was turned on at some point?

The engine code is BKG If I clear the code the engie work normal but I let it with engine running in idle and after of half an hour or 45 minutes I have again this fault code
also I check the wiring in terminal 1and 3 I have 4,95volt(unplug ) 1and 2 terminal I have 0,5volt with ignition on(plug) and when engine is idle I have 2,90volt also when I unplug the g410 I have the fault code18971 P2539 open circuit

I would suggest you verify all the electrical paths (wiring harness, terminals, ect) for the G410 are 100% to factory design..... wiggle test things. If that checks out good, I'd replace the G410 sensor with a new unit FROM THE VW DEALER. You want to avoid this hassle.

Goes against the description of the DTC but the LP &HP pumps are a common failure on these. Also the LP Pump Module

Time to scope the wiring, signals and measure fuel pressure at the point of failure to ascertain between Symptom and Root Cause of the fault.

The ECU cannot measure Fuel pressure, or get a second opinion. It IS at the mercy of the Sensor or Messenger which is another word for sensor.

It will Shoot the messenger with no Mercy !!!

Maybe some insight related too for lift pump and incorrect assignment in data input of diagnostic stack for DTC by OEM?

Multiple boo boos, however, did you JPPSG and use a decade box to qualify if as aforementioned?

18975/P2543 - Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (G410)

Possible Symptoms

  • MIL on
  • Driveablity issues
Possible Causes

  • Restriction in fuel line system
  • Failed Lift Pump in Fuel Tank
Possible Solutions

  • Replace restricted fuel lines
  • Replace restricted fuel filter
  • Replace failed Lift Pump
Special Notes

  • When found on FSI engines, MVB 106.2 shows the duty cycle of the lift pump, this value should be below 60% at idle. The higher the number, the more the lift pump has to run to maintain fuel pressure to the High Pressure Fuel Pump.
