Mk6 GTI reverse camera issues

I have a 2013 VW Mk 6 GTI with a Desay RCD330 head unit and recently got a reverse camera. The camera feed does not show on the head unit and other known good cameras also do not feed video. I tested the camera on another head unit and it worked. Here are the results of my scan:

Hello David,

RCD330 owner here, successfully installed in my 2008 Jetta 2.5. Loving it a lot!

Here's a list of things to check:

*** camera has power from the accessory feed. Mine came with a red lead wrapped in the composite video cable. Splice that into the accessory power lead on the radio voltage connector. On the camera side it goes direct to the camera positive lead... highly recommend an inline fuse there (10 amp should be good). While you're at it, run a direct ground from the camera along the trunk wire harness into the trunk cavity (mine is grounded to the tail lamp mount).

*** add the delay relay unit from GreenYi; I got mine on Amazon for less than US $8. That splices into the reverse lamp circuit. You may not actually need this, but it will help stabilize the camera image in some applications.

*** camera dongle goes in the "B" 12 pin signal block of the head unit locking connector. If your vehicle has ANY other electronics connected there now (iPod dock, CD changer, phone controls) it MUST be removed and camera dongle goes there. RCD330 supports only a camera, no other devices.

*** trunk lid latch must be LOCKED or video will not pass to screen. Use a screwdriver shaft to close the latch if testing with trunk lid open.

RCD is camera enabled from the factory, it should work with these recommendations. Happy wiring!

Since the RCD330 has internal Bluetooth, you can remove the seperate Bluetooth module 77 from underneath the passenger seat and make some money off of it.

Thanks for the reply boomerang. I am pretty confident that the camera is wired correctly at this point. The camera is the VW flip emblem and when I put the transmission into Reverse, the emblem does flip. I also connected the camera to a different display and was able to see the camera feed. I am thinking it is an issue with the camera and head unit not communicating properly and these fault codes are giving me concern:

Waxing pedantic: Those are not fault codes. They are simply the status of the respective modules as reported by the Gateway.
