I've had to replace one side of the multifunction steering wheel buttons on my Mk7.5 GTI with buttons from a Mk7 GTI. Originally, the Mk7.5 right side buttons included voice/VIEW (top/bottom) - with voice activating voice commands. The replacement right side has telephone/voice.

Can I code the correct button actions via VCDS? Is there a guide to coding multifunction steering wheel buttons?

Thanks

no you can't, buttons coding is fixed and cannot be changed.

it is advised to replace buttons with the same exact part number.

Are you certain on this? I'm curious because I see wikis on MFSW coding.

The 'coding' is for different button control modules/etc.

You're asking for a different button 'mapping', not 'coding'.
