Dear friends hi. I have this used car dealer Audi Q5 with the rear camera not working when you put gear in reverse. Parking sensors are beeping but no video is switching in display. Camera is power from module with around 6.00 volts. i switched the camera module (6c) from another vehicle with no luck.All wiring looks ok. 6 wires in the connector, power ,ground, 2 can, and power and ground out put to the camera. The only thing i saw and i do not like is that under address 6c, measure block 001, when it says ( i believe data block is #3) says about the reverse gear is on or off , it always say off , even when i shift in to reverse. however when i go to address module #10 ( park / steering assist module, reverse is shows there every time i shift in to it. Can some body knows where is the reverse signal is coming from to the back up camera module ?

I'm reasonably confident the "signal" is just a message on the CAN bus.

I don't see an obvious reason why the 6C module isn't detecting reverse.

I have my doubts this will help, but lets see about sorting out Address 5F: Information Electr. (J794) fault code of 03276 - Please Check Software Version Management.

Connect to 5F, go into Adaptation and read channel 15. Note what the stored "count" value is.

Go to the XOR Calculator web page =====> [url]https://xor.pw/[/URL]

Set the both inputs and the output to decimal (base 10). In the 2nd input, put in the value of 51666. Then in the first input, whatever the count value was.

Click on the Calculate XOR button and note your calculated output value... now back in VCDS, 5F, Adaptation channel 15, set the New Value to what was calculated then [Test] and [Save]. Clear out codes and see what happens.

i just did that, the only thing different now is that i fix the code in 5f address, but still no rear camera. 6c module at 001 measuring block #3 still shows no reverse when i t the vehicle in reverce gear. i also swap a good module from another vehicle. Still no camera

Part number and coding look to be good. The J772 module doesn't have that much going on, power, ground, data (CAN Bus) to which that is how the module talks and the reverse signal should be on that same bus.

Address 46, MVB group 042, field 3 should be data from the gear selector over the CAN Bus... address 46 is what operates the back up lights. And MVB 028 is "light request" in field 1:

0 0 0 0 0 0
Bit 0, parking light left side
Bit 1, parking light right side
Bit 2, rear fog light
Bit 3, Tail light
Bit 4, Tail light inverted
Bit 5, Reverse light

So can you verify reverse lights are working and gear selector status is being transmitted over the network?
