Skoda Octavia 1Z MY2012 light coding question

Hello!
I have some questions, mainly addressed to light coding experts here

This Skoda is equipped with separate DRL bulbs (inside front fog lights), RLS, light switch with AUTO position and BCM PQ35 H 110 0651, Part No SW: 1K0 937 087 Q HW: 1K0 937 087 Q.
DRL's were disabled in coding (Byte 15 Bit 6 OFF)
Customer wants to have his DRL's working.
When I enable DRL's in coding (Byte 15 Bit 6 ON),

in light switch AUTO position everything works as expected - with ignition on DRL's or low beam+side/marker lights+number plate lights are switched on and changes automatically depending on ambient light intensity signal from RLS.
But DRL's are on with ignition on, when light switch is in 0 position, too...
Main question: is it possible to code/adapt something (without touching Byte 18) to make DRL's stay off, when light switch is in position 0?
Additional (more theoretical) questions:
- is it possible for this BCM to make that in AUTO position, if it is dark outside according signal from RLS, low beam switches on only after engine is started (for battery saving), but stays on until ignition is switched off if engine stalls accidentally (for safety)?
- is it possible to adjust ambient light intensity level for switching from DRL to low beam and vice versa?
- what does Bit 5 in Byte 26 (DRL indicator lamp) mean and how does it work?

I doubt it. These BCM PQ35 modules were not very flexible in terms of such configuration unless you edit the EEPROM.

Is that secret lighting configuration EEPROM hexdump download/upload cheat code for PQ35 BCMs, that I saw in my dreams last night, already in a beta phase?

I think in PQ35 it was possible to have an option in mfd menu light & vision where you could tick drl on / off and if off, they would be off when the light switch is in 0 position. Other positions work normally.

Now not sure if the option was there by default or did you have to code something. It’s been a while since I’ve done any coding to PQ35 car.

Try byte 26, bit 3 - I'm sure I've tried that before and it gave the behaviour you want.

On a side note, you probably want to enable byte 15, bit 7 as that should also give the DRL on/off option in the maxidot.

Probably in the RLS (rain/light sensor) which is a submodule of the BCM. It's not something I've looked at but I'm sure others have tweaked the tint levels etc to alter the on/off brightness.

what does Bit 5 in Byte 26 (DRL indicator lamp) mean and how does it work?

I think it's enable the "DRL on" warning lamp for clusters that have it fitted although it's missing from the Octavia cluster so is unlikely to do much
