Hey everyone, new to the forums but long time Ross-Tech user.

I've followed a few guides to attempt to get my R36 to auto rain-close (as I have the hardware for this and I've seen others enable this)..
However it just does not work at all.

I initially started with this tutorial for a Mk5 Golf which did not work. I also appear to have picked up errors since enabling this too that may be related (I have cleared, but yet to drive the car and test).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AASygQQA39k

I now have the option for rain-close in the MFD, but it does not work.

The code(s) that I have are as below;

Code:
2 Faults Found:
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)
            000 - - - Intermittent
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 00100000
                    Fault Priority: 4
                    Fault Frequency: 2
                    Reset counter: 208
                    Time Indication: 0

00323 - Vehicle Inclination Sensor (G384)
            008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 00101000
                    Fault Priority: 4
                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Reset counter: 202
                    Mileage: 179630 km
                    Time Indication: 0
                    Date: 2020.07.02
                    Time: 21:05:56

Obviously 01134 leads me to This but it doesn't really help much apart from checking the fuse/wiring, but the alarm works ok?
Since this happened around the same time I made the changes as per the video I'm going to safely assume that it's related.

However if this is unrelated to the adaptation I will post another thread if the errors return with some info about other errors.

I've since cleared the errors and driven the car in the driveway to use my B5 A4 Quattro for a few days, so the Passat will sit till the weekend most likely.

Car has to be locked for 2 Hours, then after that it should work.
Make sure you spill water on rein sensor direct at windshield to test it .

I see, so locked with the windows open.

I'll try and do that on a better day. I can't reliably leave the windows opened for 2 hours outside at all.

Is there any way to make this something like 15 minutes as opposed to two hours?

Yeah it seems to be this way, I do have the sensor and the option is now present. I will see how I go with the above guidance.

Thanks guys!

If I remember correctly, Rain Close worked right after locking the doors (Tested with several cars - B6/B7 passats). No need to wait several hours.

Got any coding guides/suggestions?

I might go through the process again as per the video otherwise, or revert it to stock and then try different guidance.

Check under 09 if RLS submodule coding is correct.
Under CECM:
Rain closing power windows comfort functions to active

My R36 has this feature and it works without having to be locked for two hours. The car was locked and I had the sunroof and windows slightly open. Two minutes later I sprayed some water on the sensor area and it worked a treat. Didn't make any coding changes for this.
