Hello All

Hoping someone has some advice here as have just completed a retrofit of a 5G0 919 606 which has replaced a 3G0 919 605D, the replacement screen is hooked up to a 3Q0 035 874B

I have the following error code 1555, which I only discovered when I went to do some adaptations for something else.

This is the read out from the VCDS scan from today 6th June 2020, the screen is not listed in the readout here like the old one (also listed below) was on a scan I did on the 30th March

Am I missing something (Not unusual)

After a lot of checking out over a 3 month period, I was informed the the 5G0 919 606 would be a straight swap with the appropriate trim, the screen works fine, the display on switch on after the VW Logo displays TWIN DRIVE, which I want to change, which is one of the things I was going to do, can get into adaptation for the new 5F list, also into the adaptations list.

Please, any ideas, spent 4 hours this afternoon trying to figure this out and have got nowhere.

Thank You

Take care

There is adaption called: Confirmation of Installation Change. You need to XOR this value with C9D2 and paste as new value.

screens are usually a direct swap, I did it on my Golf as well. I am not sure what you are complaining about.

if you are concerned about the "Check Software Version Management" error, it can easily be cleared out with the XOR method, but if you leave it there it will not affect anything.

if the screen does not show when you scan the car, there is something wrong.

Hello Golfi Vend and Darkchina811

Thank You both for your quick assistance, this was not a complaint, just I never have liked a mystery and like things in order, if something is not right it bugs me BIG time, cannot stop until I have corrected the issue, whatever it is.

I discovered about Bitwise, whilst browsing after posting the above, I presume I set it to data type: hexidecimal and note there are places for 2 numbers do I put C9D2 in the first one and then the B201A00 in the second, or am I on the wrong track.

Thanks again both of you for your help, have added components like retrofitting fog lights and coding static cornering lights, but this is the first swap out of a part I have done.

Hello again

No, have not sorted it yet, on a little more investigation, I believe I have to put the number from Confirmation of change in Number 1 and C9D2 in Number 2 and XOR it to bits.

then replace it with 3E12, don't worry if you don't see the value changing.

cycle ignition and clear errors. done.

Wow, Thank You again.

Cycled ignition and cleared error codes, just ran a scan and NO ERRORS.

Wonderful.

Yet again Thank You.

know what to do if that kind of thing happens again.

Take care and STAY SAFE
