Hi there. I am working on a 2000 Audi TT quattro 1.8 t.

I have a non responsive accelerator pedal. I noticed one of the o2 sensors wires were mangles underneath of the car and I am guessing 2 wires have crossed?
The engine rpms elevated on their own and so I shut the car down and then after inspecting found the 02 sensor wiring mangled.

Attached is the auto scan. We have turned this car into an autocross race-car and so there is still several cel issues pending in the scan...abs...airbag stuff. The car ran fine until the o2 sensor issue...

Get under the car and inspect the wiring harness to the Oxygen Sensors carefully, the whole way, between the ECU and the sensors. That wiring harness has +12V in it for the oxygen sensor heaters. If it gets shorted to the signal coming from the sensor(s) back to the ECU, you will get +12V going back into the ECU into inputs that were intended to have a maximum 5V signal and bad things will happen with your ECU. These inputs go to the same ACD chip in the ECU as the accelerator position sensor and the combination of faults you have there are typical of this sort of problem.

If the ecu is the culprit....replace ecu to fix?
Looks like wires got crossed...

If wiring is fixed (and verified!), and you still have those fault codes, then yep, replacing the ECU is likely the next step.

I'm not sure anyone has figured out how to fix ECUs with that particular damage...

Wiring looks to be in tack...removed ecu and opened it up...nothing noticeably cooked.
Re-installed ecu...same thing, limp mode and now acceleration with pedal. I’m guessing replace ecu at this point?

So I picked up a matching code ECU.
Now the wires that were mangled for my o2 sensors are cut back to where I can make clean connections and re-wire. I have the Bentley manual and found the wiring diagram....it has most of the wires but is very confusing. Any help identifying proper wiring for this would be very much appreciated!!!

I will try I attach a picture of the wires, they are located near the ecu, passenger side engine bay/fire wall.

You need to host the image on a sharing site such as imgur (don't use photobucket), then post a link to it here using [img] and [/img] tags - make sure the link has .jpg (or similar image type) on the end!

Wiring colo(u)rs are not a good way to determine their function as colo(u)rs can get changed during production runs.

It seems like there should be a total of 10 wires to the the two sensors, or six to the G39/Z19, but I see eight in your picture.

The fat Blue/Red wires look to be the plus connections to the heaters.
Brown/Green looks to be the return wire running between the Z19 heater and ECU Pin 5.
The plain black and plain green pair, look to be the signals between G39 and the the ECU.
Gray/Yellow can only be the wire between Z29 and pin 63 on the ECU.

That leaves the gray/white and gray/red pair. Trouble is both the G130/Z29 sensor and the G39/Z19 sensor have gray/white and gray/redi wires to them, but they go to different pins on the ECU. You might just have to take a meter to those to figure out when set they are, and then there's the question: Where's the missing set?
