could someone help with this fault. abs light and steering yellow light. steering is stiff. faults for steering angle in abs. i have done steering angle reset and it programs sucessfull, but fault remains. i have changed steering angle sensor, steering module and abs module and ignition switch. i have done numerous attempts to program angle sensor while driving following all instructions from rosstech, but fault exists. all fuses checked and all part numbers checked with audi. can anyone help with this fault please. ignore radio faults is missing and airbag faults because been stripped to change parts.scan attached

Hi, where did you carry out the basic setting, in address 03 or 44? If I am not mistaken, the steering angle sensor is part of the steering, so address 44 if it is a generation "3" steering.

Hello,

If the G85-Steering Angle Sensor is loosing 30-power intermittently, the fault code [01826] is stored and the ESP/TCS warning is displayed.

As long as the ABS wheel speed sensors are functioning correctly (see Measuring Value Block group 001), typically a short test drive will re-initialize the G85 sensor and it can be calibrated with the Basic Settings.

I would suggest to check the Measuring Value Block group (007) in the [44-Steering Assist] controller, the following information should be seen:

MVB-007 (Key on, engine running while moving the steering wheel)
Field (1) Steering Angle Sensor (G85) = Typically should read the actual sensor's value in (°) [Check the 'lock-to-lock' readings, should be equal from 0°]
Field (3) Calibration Status (G85) = "Yes" or "No"
Field (4) Initialization Status = "SteerAng Init" or "SteerAng n.Init"

You should be able to successfully perform the Basic Settings of the G85 when field (1) is active and field (3) says "SteerAng Init". During a 'parking lot' road test, have someone monitor MVB-007, it may show something, like the G85 stops reading, etc...

I would also suggest to check the power and ground to the J527-Steering Column Control Module, along with the connections of the G85 sensor.

ps.. There are two different J527 controllers as per the www.PartsLink24.com and based on the VIN / build date, you should be using [8P0 953 549 F]. The G85 is a [1K0 959 654], both are for vehicles up to (25,05,2009) build dates.
