Hi This is my first post so I hope I do it properly.
My secondhand Sep 2010 polo GTI came with the default DRL setup which has low beam on and parking lights on. After disconnecting the light switch TFL pin T17/3 and turning off the Parking light using VCDS I had all the DRL stuff turned off.
I then tried to turn the fog lights on as DRL using VCDS but all attempts to change any DRL settings seemed to do nothing.
I thought it may be because the TFL pin was disconnected. I reconnected the TFL pin and the low beam came back on and I was unable to change it using VCDS. I checked the current flow diagrams and found that TFL is hard wired through fuse SB56 to the low beam lights, but the fuse was already removed so my problem still exists.
Is it possible to get the BCM DRL settings working. Does my BCM and chassis wiring support the functions I keep seeing people post.
I have purchased a Ross Tech VCDS HEX-V2, EManuals for the car, and spent many many hours looking through forums and can't find an answer that is not a bodge job. The BCM is supposed to control this stuff so I'm not intending to just hard wire around the lack of VCDS control.
