2007 Bentley Continental Level Control problem

First: I don't have a way to copy/paste the complete Autoscan, sorry. I am new at using VCDS, and it's not running on my personal equipment. All I have is a printout of the scan. Let me know if more information is needed, and I can add page photos of the printout.

Vehicle is a 2007 Bentley Continental. Was towed in with a failed battery (left hand). We replaced the battery, but the suspension will not lift. Car has a broken PCV hose on one bank and associated codes for same, but currently has no faults in the TCM, ABS, Central Electronics, or CAN Gateway modules. How does one get the air suspension to turn back on?

Ask whoever owns the equipment to copy the full unedited Auto-Scan (which will be in the C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans folder on their PC) onto a USB stick that you can plug into your PC and then post here - see my sig for a link to a How-To.

Hi,

The DTC you have stored in level control is usually present when the suspension is set to jack mode. IIRC it self clears once jack mode is disabled.

Looks like you need to reset the seat motor and steering column adjuster motor end stop positions after replacing the battery - operate switch to drive all the way in each direction and hold for a few seconds once at the end stop. That should deal with the faults stored in 06 and 36

Hello,

Right, the fault code [01575-Control Switched Off] when found in the [34-Level Control] controller is an indication the Level Control system is in "Jack-Mode".
Not to be confused with one of our Ross-Tech forum members.

There are typically three ways you can take a vehicle out of Jack-Mode:

1.) Drive the vehicle greater than 10-15 mph (if my memory serves me well)
2.) "Simultaneously press and hold down the Ride Height and Damper setting buttons" for five seconds.
3.) Using VCDS, connect to [34-Level Control], press the [Adaptation-10] button, enter [010] in the Channel, press [Read]. [Test] and [Save] a new value of [0].

The system should now be out of Jack-mode and the [34-Level Control] controller will typically be fault free.

Excellent. That got it. Well, turned it on, anyway. Now we just have to change the front air struts (01400 set as soon as it tried to pick itself off the ground).
