Hello everyone can someone please help i have rosstech, my caravelle has rns510 just fitted bluetooth module, bluetooth works and i can stream music but i cant get the phone to work just mutes the music, I've been trying all day, can someone please help me get this sorted..

A 2016 model and still came with a RNS510? Retrofit a unlocked Discover Media PQ and you will be way better off than the ancient RNS510 and this old BT module.

Since there's address 5F in the installation list, the vehicle came with a proper newer radio but this was replaced with old tech for some reason?

I would try turning off "CD Changer Monitoring" and "Aux Input Monitoring" in Byte 0 of the coding. That should get rid of the two remaining fault codes in the RNS.

In addition, I would try turning off "Short Press Steering Wheel Buttons installed" in Byte 7 to see if that helps with the button problems (but I'm not sure whether it will or not).

With this aftermarket system, the steering wheel controls need a converter box to work. Why they are not working with the current setup is most probably because the RNS and BT didn't come in a T6 and there may not be any compatibility between them in the first place.

if that Kenwood unit is anything like its 3 year old predecessor then you will be still looking for the oem unit in the future. There is no integration to the VW dash and the MSFW adaptor is poor.
