Launch Control

Lots of chatter on Audi forums re launch control counts/limits. On my MY 2015 S3, (CYFB engine code, DSG trans.) I cannot find anything that seems launch control related using Blockmap. I do not include Autoscan as there are 0 DTC's.
I suspect that there is no such measure/control on my car. Can anyone confirm or correct?

DTCs are not the only reason to post an Auto-Scan. An Auto-Scan allows us to see exactly what control modules are installed in the car, and then check what they do and do not support.

Right Uwe. I have that DSG type in my current Alltrack and it has Launch Control which was a bonus due to the non-GTI/sports model.

I have those factory condition maps in addition to several full sets after discovering LC and using it a handful of times but there were NOT any obvious differences in the data when those maps are compared. For that reason I'm reasonably confident that VW/Audi didn't create a measuring group that contains a counter but I'm certain the dealer or warranty teams could find information in the event that I happen to trash the transmission or dual clutch while under warranty (similar to the TD1 flags for tuning).

I have those factory condition maps in addition to several full sets after discovering LC and using it a handful of times but there were NOT any obvious differences in the data when those maps are compared. For that reason I'm reasonably confident that VW/Audi didn't create a measuring group that contains a counter but I'm certain the dealer or warranty teams could find information in the event that I happen to trash the transmission or dual clutch while under warranty (similar to the TD1 flags for tuning).

Thanks Dana. My question was just curiosity and a BS meter calibration (some other forum member). I don't find launch control that entertaining and only used it to test when I got the car. Might use it if there is reason to suspect the transfer box AKA Haldex.
When you say a delealer may be able to find abuse, do you mean by inference or actual data?

Correct, in order to confirm abuse. If I was to launch mechanical bits out of the bottom of the trans or burn up dual clutches with regularity (on an in-warranty car) I believe VW/Audi would be able to obtain the historical LC information in that TCM to decline a warranty claim.

Although I'm confident that Advanced Measuring Data does not appear to change before/after LC use the historical information is purely speculation. In my option the only way to know for sure would be to review an entire (log log) of an ODIS session of a vehicle in that was declined warranty or flagged with a warranty key due to abuse. Assuming it wasn't tuned, and declined or flagged for that reason alone, it is possible that a log may contain additional information but if VW/Audi buried it way similar to enhanced crash data in an Airbag controller it may only be able to retrieved using special tools at a test facility.

I just realized this is in the Reference Scans and Maps of Non-Broken Cars section, where control module maps are generally posted, rather than a location for general discussion. I think you may receive more views and replies in the Car Repair Support section.
