Hi All

I just upgraded from 19.6 to 20.4 today before attempting to replace my rear brake pads on my Audi A3 2016.

when I try to go into 03 ABS Brakes to go into brake lining change mode (and in most other things) it says "unsupported vehicle, please upgrade to a current ross-tech interface".

its a genuine hex+can interface I bought new and have only used around a dozen times or so. It is in new condition.

How do I fix this?

Please post an Auto-Scan from the vehicle in question so we can try to see why VCDS is getting confused on this car.

With a new interface (HEX V2 or HEX-NET).
For the OPs car (2016 A3) a HEX-CAN should be OK, provided it's a genuine one not a clone.

I sorted the issues yesterday. The laptop came up with a message saying it required updates and a reboot. I restarted it and let it finish the updates then tried VCDS again.

It's all working fine now. Never had any problems with VCDS version updates before.

I got in to do my brake lining changes with no VCDS issues. All worked perfectly.
