The phone see the car, asks if pin is correct, the car sees the phone, but I cannot acknowledge with the steering wheel buttons.

How many phones have been previously paired with the car? IIRC there is an upper limit, when that's reached the list has to be deleted.

No, I installed the BT unit when i purchased the car.
Im sure it wouldnt hurt to remove all users.how do I go about that?

Gave it a go, but no change. Have decided to change to a RCD330 plus as I want apple carplay.
Will see how i get on with that.
