This is going to require some digging in RoW repair sources but I ran a search of our scans containing 038 906 019 -and- 1J0 907 379 to see what we had. There were only 4 ABS coding values:

12502
12702
13404
13504

The only vehicle using Engine Coding: 00003 was a (1J) Golf with 03 coded to: 13504

I'll do some digging and report back if I can find a confirmed value in our repair sources.

OK so, this is 1X1 Four-wheel drive and my repair data shows: ATD 1.9 ltr./74 kW 4x4 = 13504
Please try that.

The existing value of 03304 was for older (1999-2000) models.

Edit, if 13504 is rejected please check the installed 03-ABS part number and compare it to the original unit. I believe the original would have had a component such as ABS/EDS 20 IE CAN.

Unfortunately I can't check the numbers because the car has already arrived with this fault and the owner claims that nothing has changed hmmm ...

Do you have the abs driver number that should be mounted?

OK, I suspected that. The installed ABS is likely FWD specific from the 1999-2000 era and incorrect. Per PL24 they show 1J0 907 379 AA -or- 1J0 907 379 AG as original units based on VIN. Here's a temp screen shot:

Although I trust that the repair manual coding chart is correct, you might want to search our forum for 13504. The vast majority have that ABS/EDS 20 IE CAN Component with AWD (#22) Haldex modules. For instance, AWD A3 with special 8N chassis module part number:

This ABS module was used on Octavia up to VIN ..1U-X-228000 (up to model year 1999 and serial number 228000 of the car). And it is the basic ABS, without any of additional features (ASR/TCS/EDL/ESP)
I have a big suspicion it will not work on MY2002 4x4 Octavia...

Ok, now I know at least that the problem is in the module and not in coding, I will try to find a matching abs driver. Something had to be done at 100% because in the engine controller the coding was set without abs and the indicator was blinded in the meter. Thanks for your help!

I do not have, because the customer claims that since he bought this car, it has been like that. I will try to find a similar car to check the number.

It's better to take one of those ways to get the correct partnumber:
-ask official dealer,
-ask someone who has bought PL24 subscription,
-buy Your own PL24 subscription (if You are repairing VAG cars every day)

Use 1J0907375AC if You want to order new unit (electronic box only, something around 1k eur... :D )
Use 1J0907379AA/1J0907379AG if looking for used unit - this partnumbers are stamped on electronic box, or 1J0614217F printed on sticker on pump casing.
Those units were installed on all Golf4 platform cars: VW Golf4/Bora, Audi A3, Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia. Only 4x4 models. Only ABS+EDL (electronic differential lock). ABS+ESP will not fit, too. But it has different part numbers. If looking by given partnumbers, You will get correct part, if You are lucky :D
I was not, about half year ago I had similar task. I was not able to find the correct used replacement ABS module for 4x4 Golf4 nor in Latvian and Lithuanian junkyards, nor ebay, nor allegro.pl. And customer was not accepting new ABS for 1k eur, he sold his Golf with ABS malfunction for something like 700 or 800 eur :D

I just checked the prices of used, it is about 50 € so I will tell the customer tomorrow and decide whether we buy or not. Thanks again for your help!
