So just to clarify part number 1K0 907 375 AN is what I need to buy, install, then after coding assuming no other issues car be fixed ?... part is 685$ delivered by the 23rd. So I can’t afford to have any issues after that. :/, I checked the vin at the NHTSA and it showed no recalls. Ebay’s terrible part matching system says this part isn’t for my car. Is why I’m clarifying. Thanks.

Contact your respective VW dealer and I'd show them this wouldn't you?

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2016/RCRIT-16V913-6522.pdf

https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

Has VW been fourth coming with service information or with governing agencies as a practice in general or to identify what is what & on the up and up?

Did you add a complaint at NHTSA & since your VIN doesn't allegedly come up and since this seems like a pervasive issue?

I read the material from the links you just sent and it lists two abs modules to use for the recall repair one is the above one you mentioned (1K0 907 375 AN) but it lists the one I have on the car as the other option, which is AP. Also the car has none of the codes mentioned in the article as recall relayed DTC’s. It does however at the end of the 59page manual essentially have all the same codes listed that I currently have. I just bought this car last week for 2k, it’s super clean besides the abs issue. I’ve never taken any vehicle to any shop, I’m 42, iq of 146. With 30 years hands on mechanical experience, body shop, and vast amounts of time coding apps for Android. I’m gonna look into things deeper. I will check and see if the module has been altered or tampered with. Also from that 59 page ariticle wouldn’t the fix be as easy as soldering the cpu ground inside the module ? I also own a 99 Silverado that I had to open the module and replace a relay and solder a few points which repaired it. Cause it said the update vw does checks for a cpu ground and the modules that fail get replaced with mine or AN. Thanks. We will get it all figured out.. never quit til I succeed ;)

With your IQ, I would of thought you would of saw the genesis of the legacy part number in the post and the superseding number going forward, do you see it now?

We as You and Me, the Collective or are there two of you?

Just keep in mind what my nickname is okay?

Resistance is Futile, you will join us and your unique or multiple significance's will become one with the Collective.

I mean no disrespect, just trying to clue you in as to who or what I am, I don’t do dealers, my past experience is private and professional. If I can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed. With that said. I appreciate the build sheet option codes above. I just ordered the new module. I’ll try to long code it myself but I’m sure I’ll be back w my redone auto scan in a week or so. Thanks for your help. I do appreciate it. I have zero social skills ;)

I just want to elaborate a little bit, and say I enjoy challenges and learning new things, I just got my VCDS v2 in the mail yesterday (saturday) morning and did the autoscan.. posted here anticipating a code rather promptly and happy times like the other posts I’d read thru with similar issues.. but after I did look at the 59 pages.. see the numbers, look up some parts. I seen the various option codes like UG0/2/4 etc. for diff stuff and from that I see this ain’t factory cause this is for hillhold and that’s not an option on my car. It has new pads, rotors, rear calipers, so I initially assumed the air in the lines causing the soft pedal was from calipers. So I ordered the part it was 620$ but better to go proper, new o rings, plugs to eliminate some bleeding later, have all the tools and equip. I don’t have a fancy bleeder, I have vac pump bleeders, 2 so I can do front and rears simultaneously as per req. which naturally I was slightly misled while buying it last week. Happens. We is me, u, community, google is an amazing tool, YouTube is dandy too.. I’ve never owned a euro vehicle, I’ve been to Europe in the army a couple decades ago, I dig the features like the windows working off the door key hole.. for instance.. car is for sign other... been together 16 years.. have heard whole time ... vw vw vw.. was beetle which I think aren’t good for a mother of a couple little kids... talked it into a Jetta then ended up with this cause 2k. Looks nice. Clean. Figured why not, kinda spontaneous, then bought vw package for autel ap200 and seen zeros for abs long code. Ordered the VCDS v2 from this place a few days ago and here we are.. lol.. so ya anyways.. we will get it all figured out ;) ... lol.. piece home skillet :D

So you don't see the legacy part numbers which fall into the criteria of the alleged recall in the NHTSA PDF link?

You do realize 379 is legacy & dropped part number versus 375 being the new superseded part number, right?

Dont you know Hill hold can be selected and set or not set in configuration string of either part number as a function, just like other AECD controls such as start stop?

Don't you see this is why we look up PR codes to see if the vehicles original conformity certificate and build criteria are a match for part number or to establish confirmed configuration to not aid you or others in a possible change that would allegedly be illegal?

You could plug in the old part and scan it to see part numbers and coding right?

I get what ur saying with the numbers, I don't have a previous autoscan, module, paperwork, or anything else. Just the car with zeros:/ lol.. I’ll upload the scan for 375AN in a week or two. I’m not trying to be diff, I’m a super cool mellow person just kickin it.. I don’t like paying others to do stuff I can do. Initially I was blind to the recall, this cars issue. And so on.. but it will all be alright. :)

It would be even better to get reimbursement & when all said and done on your own too write a letter to get it?

You're smart enough to get what I'm saying right and that I'm just looking out for you?

Would be even better to get reimbursement for buying VCDS since it was needed to do this repair in addition to your time and the actual module too, especially when the Forum becomes a date time stamp to prove it all?

Respect and thank you for your Military service and value system by the way!

When the correct module is installed (either good used 1K0 907 379 AD -or- the new repair kit 1K0 907 375 AN) I believe you will have success with this coding:

113B400D49290001880F02E5921C00413000

After the Coding is accepted, make sure to complete the G85 calibration prior to exiting the module so it doesn't zero on you. The Replacement steps on this page apply and there's a video located in the MK60EC1 ABS FAQ.

That code is correct, I bought it off a person on eBay for 21.40$.. lol.. happens.. car is all fixed and straight not expect sat/an antenna and driver heated seat.. I managed to re-code my radio.. I get the option codes assemble the short and long codes. I haven’t played with the long code helper tool much yet. I appreciate your effort. I was about to post my new autoscan with the working code. As for the recall. My vin is “ok” as per the vw and NHTSA recall checks. And if any issues as per the recall are noticed or happen I will change the abs module to 1K0 907 375AN. What would alter in the code then ?.. my car doesn’t have hill hold. Has esc tho. Again thanks :)

On a side note I’m so impressed with VW I’m currently looking for a “broken” Audi ;)

I’m mostly impressed with the adaptations features.. that is sweet. Virtually endless options. The software/hardware aspect naturally eliminates some choices... can’t just turn fog lights on. Would hafta add lights, often factory wiring is there already.. idk yet with this one, and I don’t want fog lights .. that’s just an example of limitations... but like per say I wanna add auto headlights, my cheap choice is Norwegian drl which would just allow all lights all the time if running. I don’t wanna overtax anything tho or cause anything to run warmer than normal. ie my Silverado has auto lights and I have never had to turn the light switch on, but it does get warm, if I do turn the lights on instead of letting them come on auto the switch doesn’t get as warm. That also has a sensor for ambient light. I don’t kno that the Jetta sportwagen does. So then auto would essentially be Norwegian drl but with the dash switch .. lol.. it’s only day 7 for me playing vw mechanic.. so I’m gonna look into some stuff and see, my owner’s manual fuse chart isn’t completely accurate. But I found that the 03-09 Jetta one is accurate. I wanna find some detailed wiring schematics So I can see what’s up with it. I’m not paying the prices they want at erWin. That’s too much for someone just playing around with some stuff..
