PTU/Gearbox Do they share fluid? 6 speed Quattro

Good morning,
I just replaced the Clutch in my 2008 Audi TT 3.2L and was wandering if the Gearbox oil also fills up the PTU? When I removed the Starboard (right) CV axle mount gear from the PTU it also slid into the gear box so I would assume it shares the fluid.

Final Drive (Front/Rear) -
