Hi
I had my 2015 VW Tiguan 1.4 TSI (45,000 km) checked two days ago at a VAG garage for bad fuel consumption (some 25% higher than normal) with no CEL.
They said the car is fine and gave me 2 screenshots that I will attach below.

My first question is: Although I know very well what LTFT stands for and what it does, I have never heard of LT Adaptation of mixture formation. Can you tell me what is that all about?

My second question is: At idle, as you can see, LT Adaptation of mixture formation is -10.2% but when engine gets revved, LT Adaptation of mixture formation goes to -2.3%. How should I interpret that and is my car running OK? There is no misfire, no hesitation, no bad start, just random slight trembling at idle.

"Mixture Adaptation" is German Terminology translated back to English. It means Fuel Trim.

Hi Uwe. Got it. Yet it's not clear why there is LTFT at idle and also LTFT as two separate measurements (IDs) with different values at idle...
