T6 oem MFSW retrofit. Unable to access Engine 01 to activate

I have finished the install of a standard mfsw. I followed a kufatec instruction manual but it assumes the van already has a cruise control wire. It did not work. I added a cable from the T10 connector so I am now fully installed and running on pin 17 of the bcm. Others say to use pin 37 but that gives me no function at all.

So the trip display, phone, stereo controls work perfectly.
However I cannot get the cruise to work at all.
It does not even know the buttons are there.

I have done most of the coding where I had options to do so. When I can to activating Cruise in the engine 01 module. I cannot seem to change it, I cannot even change any settings to be honest. I get a coding rejection. Error 00: unknown (0x00). I also got a coding rejection. Error 31: unknown (0x00) but that may have been when my engine was running.

Can anyone please shed some light on what would be stopping me from accessing to code the module?

I am fully up to date. version 20.4.0

Thank you thats my bad sorry. Only fault from what I can tell is because I have disconnected rear motion sensor as its a camper now.
Wheel is connected and all wiring done but no Cruise available and to actvate I need to be able to change it within Engine 01. I get a error every time I try and change anything.

The van is a 2016. Its an early T6 but is an EU6. Happy to pm vin. :-)

I have had a look but the FEC would require an MQB based system where as the BCM and the rest I have are PQ25 based? I think I have understood that correctly.

Is there any way or reason the Engine 01 module would be locked somehow or is this a vcds or cable problem? May I have to change from vcds to another version?

The T6 is PQ25, no FEC/SWAP are needed for CCS Activation.
However VCDS does have some issues to enable the Coding in the EU6 ECU's in the T6.
A lot of users get 0x31 when they try to enable CCS in Coding.

Hopefully UWE can give clarification in englisch here.
And i suppose that this is already fixxed in newest genuine VCDS.
I seached this error myself for weeks, in the end i used a different tool and it just worked.

But since you have a EU6 ECU you have to change the wiering of the LIN bus for the MFL to get CCS via MFL working in the T6.

I can change the pin number over for pin 36 no problem at all. It just seems to be the engine module vcds is not able to change any of the coding for. It is as if it is not powerful enough or has the right permissions. I have no clue to be honest but the van is not a brand new my19 however it is an EU6.

I have trawled all over the web with no success to get the engine coding changed. I even tried with the bonnet open just in case. no luck.
I have changed all sorts of things on the van in all other modules but the engine one is not playing ball.

Can you tell me what tool you used please? I understand my vcds cable is not the brand new one but I do not want to upgrade it to find the new one is still not capable .

Whell that sound strange.
You can not change anything in the ECU ?
Whell 90% of coding can not be changed this get's blocked by ECU Firmware, but something must work, i will try with my spare one and report back.

I myself used VCP and O**s Engeneering to change the CCS Bits in Coding of EU6 ECU in T6.
I know that it worked with ODB11 Pro for others.
And a friend who bought a new Hex-2 had no issues with VCDS's, too. I can not verify this because i only own a 3 VIN Version, and don't wont to waste a VIN for this test.
I suppose that only the old non HEX-2 interface probably have this issues, but again, let UWE clarify this.

Yes if I go straight in and try and change the coding of engine ecu, any coding, not specifically ccs (although that is what I want to do) then I get error:
coding rejection. Error 00: unknown (0x00) and coding rejection. Error 31: unknown (0x00).
One of those was because I had the engine running.

I tried to enter the codes that are available just incase i needed security access but no matter what I try all I get is this error

I think this is either a vcds problem or a module problem. How I determine which is at fault I am not sure. All other modules I can change both coding and adaptions.

Just did a test with an old VCDS interface and i get always 0x31 in ECU.
So this looks like an old interface issue.

If not, I don't understand why it Engine is coded for steering left side Byte 5 Bit 0 ??
Does kufatec instruction not show Byte 29 Bit 6 for BCM ??

Hi Thanks.
I have just changed the wiring from pin 17 to pin 36. I have changed byte 29 bit 7. This is all working along with all buttons showing as working in the test. Trip and stereo buttons are doing something but CCS buttons not activating.
I will start again doing what you suggest and send a scan.
The van is a UK RHD model. Its not checked in the Engine module and I cannot change it. I have added the towbar. It is a VW genuine westfalia kit but it was not done at factory.

I do not have any wsc, importer or device numbers in the user interface, should I have these? What should they be?
Again many thanks. Slowly getting there with this but the Engine module will not let me change anything still.
