Hi, went to attempt a Service Regeneration today and VCDS had an update to V20.4.0 which went smoothly.
Fired up the car and ran a diagnosis and a Service Regeneration which worked up to a point, but that is a question for another day.
However, on checking the log it comes up with a date of: 2047.14.9 which knowing the USA way of showing dates is 9th April 2047, why has it come up with this date? No issues before the update.

"Ever Since the Update", eh?

Do you have a data from a previous version, done the same way (apparently outside of an Auto-Scan), with this same fault code, that shows the date correctly?

In some cases, the date data in freeze-frames is an offset rather than an absolute value, and if VCDS doesn't have the correct base-value, then the date shown will be incorrect. There are a number of other reasons why the date in freeze-frames can be incorrect as well.

If the date in a freeze-frame is obviously implausible, ignore it and look at the mileage instead.

Unfortunately no I don't but what I can do tomorrow is run a scan on one of my other cars and see what happens? Up to now usually only ran an Autoscan as I haven't had it long and just starting to get into a bit deeper

I've had this as well but in my case it was 2042.14.28.

I've also had 2000.00.00 come up on certain modules a few times.

It seemed to coincide with the battery being a bit low on charge and various lights on the dash being lit. I've read posts by other people on various forums about their dashboard being lit up like a Christmas Tree and all the problems going away once the battery was charged so I've always ignored it.
