MODS - this is not a duplicate post. This is about Park ASSIST, not EPB. Cheers

Dads car has been stood for a while resulting in low battery voltage.

Its caused 16347 - Park Assist EEPROM error.

Part number of the original module was 3C8 919 475.

I replaced it with 3C8 919 475A (original not available anywhere i can find)

I assume the A suffix pertains to an updated version?

Anyway, after fitting and coding, the new module codes fine and is recognised by the vehicle, however it brings up faults for ALL the sensors (Sensor for Parking Aid No Signal/Communication)

The Park Assist was fine prior to the low voltage. Would all 8 sensors really fail? Really??
Or is the new module incompatible?

You certainly are aggressive to get a solution & with this issue in 3 threads started and one merged/locked already? :p

Did you try to re-code the 0x53 original module and with a manual terminal 15 flip or vehicle reboot to try and default it?

Did you install a part without checking with dealer or microfiche yet?

Your answer is here too directly..... https://www.partslink24.com/partslink24/registration-data.action

Its not the same issue though is it. The other post is for the ABS and Parking Brake module. This one is for the Parking Sensors. Two completely different systems i believe. EPB being located in the centre console and for holding the vehicle stationary, the Park Assist module being located under the dash next to the A pillar and for giving an audible proximity warning when parking :-)

No i didnt check with a dealer. This is an 11 year old car and the purpose of this excercise is to get it through the mot and decent enough state to sell it on with as little outlay as possible. Already spent £220 on VCDS, £50 on EPB module and £60 on park assist module (from breakers)

That link is for a subscription service?

I have no idea what manual terminal 15 flip is?

Thanks for your reply anyway

Yeah well how would I know this is a different thread and no scan posted in it to ID it?

I have to pay so why not you but you could call dealer no?

Maybe not duplicate but indeed incomplete.

Not necessarily. Often a different suffix will have a different application.
