I have searched but the things i am seeing are from 2016ish.

i just purchased a new Chromebook, i was wondering what is needed to run my VCDS, something I didn't give thought when deciding to go with a Chromebook route. I do have a USB port to plug it in to. am I "S.O.L.?"
thanks

I'm afraid so. VCDS requires Microsoft Windows. A Chromebook uses Chrome OS, which is not Windows.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if there was another option like an app or anything.

Well, you could upgrade to a HEX-NET and use VCDS-Mobile, but VCDS-Mobile isn't quite a full-function replacement for VCDS, and unless you've got some other reason to need or want a HEX-NET, it would probably be more cost effective to source a cheap (used?) Windows machine.
