I recently had this fault appear on my S3 8p 2009 reg car and looked it up and found within ross-tech how i could correct this code , so i followed the tuturial on youtube ( ross-tech ) explaining what i was suppose to and have since done it but what i have found are my brakes are very responsive and make a grinding noise when coming to a halt os this what should happen once they have been calibrated . I really doubt that a grinding noise from the brakes are related to this fault code. Grinding noises warrant an immediate physical inspection of the brakes.

hello again Uwe. this is an update on my problem 00003 that i am still getting .
now some back ground i recently got my high line door module ( 8P0 959 801 P ) reprogrammed using Eeprom so i could get my S3 registered 2009 but 2010 model wing mirrors to close using key fob and open on ignition , now this works ok but i noticed the 00003 problem afterwards so i followed Ross-techs video about channel 25 / 26 followed it to the letter and got ABS calibrated ( well it look liked it did in video when all done correctly ) and when i heard the grinding noise from brakes i assumed this fault had caused it but i have found now that after a bit off driving around the brakes sound fine ,.
so i re-scanned car and noticed i had same fault plus module 22 fault i tried to get into module but it says no response from controller any idea's how to sort out any off these 2 problems , the nav+ radio problem i know how to fix and the hvac again a retrofit ( be nice if you could shed some light on that problem too as i know a lot off guys have it when they fitted the Q3 8P Climate control to there A3/S3 8P models

I did a bit off research on here and noticed a reply ( i think from jack ) about rebooting so i unplugged battery and left it for over 2hrs . I then reconnected it back together and did a autoscan but again the fault 00003 was there and fault on module 22, would i find the fuse for 22 in the interior fuse box or engine box do you know .
I have got the manual but it says i should have fuses in certain places on 54fuse box ie terminal 15 #49 fuse but i have fuses in #470 but none in #49 , i have orginal data sheet for my vin from elsawin ( took sites advice for 24hr ) so if that is helpful to help sort this problem please let me know thanks .

Per the Audi A3 Current Flow Diagram No. 76 / 1 All-wheel drive From May 2008 diagram I located fuse SC19 powers J492 (Address 22/Haldex). That's a 10Amp fuse which receives switched power via Terminal 15 relay. SC19 is located in the SC panel which is "under left dash panel". The left/right description may not be accurate for your RHD car but SC is always inside the car.
There are two connectors in-between that fused power and the Haldex so I'd also want to verify the powers and grounds are OK at the module even if the fuse is OK. You don't want to replace the module to find out this was an issue at the T6q connector prior to it.
Also, fuse SC49 appears to be driving school vehicle or German special police/doctor on call vehicle specific so believe the lack-of a fuse in that position is OK.
Next, checking the battery and replacing it (if needed) is a great starting point however this car doesn't use start-stop so battery coding doesn't apply. Cheers for your reply and all the info that came with it , i took battery out overnight and put back in this morning . Car started fine but esp problem still there plus i still cant talk to 22awd contorller.

Dana , do you think there would be any problems if i recoded Esp module with the same soft coding from an earlier scan like say a month ago when there was no malfunction ot would that cause more problems as i am scratching my head here wondering why this Esp & module 22 awd fault has come about . Another update on my problem , i now have module 22awd talking again ( was a fuse # 19 problem so cheers Dana but still have the esp problem and now abs will post new scan tomorrow.

Another update , i have watched the RT video about the basic setting test and followed it to the letter by keeping car speed to 13mph and turning steering wheel between 90° but no more that 180° left or right but still lights on instrument cluster are still glashing and i still have same error.
