I have a no start situation on my 2010 JSW after sitting for a month or so. Car had a battery tender hooked up. When I turn the key on the ignition, nothing happens, it's as if the clutch interlock switch were not working. I have replaced the battery as a precaution, to no avail.I also cleaned the wire terminals, and the main ground points in the engine bay, also to no avail.
VCDS scan shows a few of codes for the central electronics however, and I think that is where I need to start looking, but I am at a bit of a loss as to where to start, and was hoping for some assistance.
VCDS log follows:

Hi and welcome.

Have you checked all fuses?

Faults in the BCM indicate it not getting power, and I could see it that causing the no-crank.

Terminal 30 and 15 are lacking, is ignition switch function proper or terminal relays?

Is alarm and door module faults running interference?

Why was voltage @16 volts in stamp?

Clear all codes reboot and perform a battery Jesus.

It would seem that terminal 30 is the culprit here. I did check each and every fuse, both in the main fuse block and the one in the dash, all were fine. I removed and reinstalled all relays, actually replaced the relay 100 in the main junction block hoping it would solve my problem, but it did not. I did notice after dark that the interior lighting is no longer working, nor is the door ajar chime.
As time allows, I will be checking the 200 amp fuse bar at terminal 30, and will disassemble the main fuse block to check for corrosion or damaged wiring. I somehow think I remember there may have been a TSB at one point for the main fuse block on these cars???

Not sure why voltage showed 16. That one has me stumped as well. I will run another scan after checking the main fuse block and will report back.

Fuse box B (engine bay)..... take 2 or 3 photos BEFORE you touch the fuses! No excuses, 2 or 3 photos taken.... then pull fuses out 1 at a time and look for hotspotting.

Fuseissue.jpg

The photo shows a fuse that was causing some terminal 30 type codes in a customer's car.... note that the fuse itself is not popped, but 1 blade is roached... the fuse box, while hard to tell from the photo, is kind of melted. This is the type of damage you are looking for on top of an outright popped fuse.

We've come across a lot of cases where fuse box B has poor mechanical connection with fuses, so things get hot and melty there. :(

I suspect the answer is here:

I do not trust those things. I've seen too many that run the voltage up too high.

-Uwe-
I do not think the issue is with the battery tender as I swapped batteries with my daily driver, and the battery from the problem car is just fine. Problem not resolved with different battery however...
I have only had one issue in over fifteen years of using battery tenders where a battery was overcharged and boiled dry...

How I wish it were that simple! I did removed and physically check every single fuse, both in the main fuse box and inside the car. I also removed and reinstalled all relays. Swapped the the relay 100 for terminal 30 with a new one with no change. At this point I suspect that the problem lies within the main fuse box. I will not have time to investigate further until Thursday, but I will report back with my findings.
Thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions, it is much appreciated.

Time for closure to this thread. I finally got to the bottom of the issues, and it looks like there were two separate problems. The 00927 and 01156 codes were fixed by replacing the fuse box under the hood; I couldn't see any visible issues with it, but after the swap, those codes disappeared. If I have time this winter, I will do a forensic analysis on it. That left the pesky 00446 and 00532 (voltage lower limit exceeded). I stripped the dash to check all components and harnesses, but could not find anything out of the ordinary. I ended up swapping out all the relays in case one of them was the culprit to no avail. Finally, out of despair I purchased a used BCM, since it controls all the electronics pretty much. Lo and behold, all codes vanished and the car is now back up and running! Once I get all the trim pieces and what not put back together, I will finally be able to use the car again.
Thanks to all who offered suggestions.
