Hello everyone. Been monitoring a possible problem with dpf regen on my Seat Leon (EA288, CUPA) for at least a year now with a standard OBD Bluetooth dongle and VAGDPF android app. I was noticing the regens were a bit frequent for the extended long runs that I do everyday so decided to monitor them.
Using the app, I've noticed that the soot mass increases normally in relation to distance travelled, but the car seems to regen regardless around the 90-110 mile mark. At this point the soot mass jumps from around 10 grams to 20+ immediately, indicating the dpf is full of soot which surely cannot be the case. I'm thinking it could be a sensor somewhere but there are no engine fault codes stored and no lights on the dash.
Been looking at upgrading from standard obd dongle to VCDS fir a while and decided to take the plunge!
