Magnetic ride control module replacement with used Ebay part. VIN calibration 2008 TT

Good afternoon all, New here. I have a 2008 Audi TT 3.2L Quattro Manual. I recently replaced the Magnetic Ride control module with an Ebay unit that is used. VCDS says that the VIN does not recognize the part # on the unit. I am learning VCDS as well. Is there a way to program the module with the existing systems in the vehicle? Replacement was due to flooding of old module. I believe i need a code for the adaption icon?

Take a look if this Adaptation channels 080 or 081 can be read in this module.

This has been completed. As of now Mag Ride (Sport button) /traction control button all are working according to instrument cluster. Only main issue is the Mag ride light stays on in the cluster at all times.

2008 audi tt quatro 3.2l manual adaption 080 081 ???

I honestly don't know what i'm doing with adaption code 080 and 081. I went to adaption icon put 080 in, it was accepted upon pressing enter. I did a cold rest? Turned the key off then on within 5 seconds and nothing changed I think. There is a new scan below. I went ahead and did 081 and the same thing happened. Now if I go back and type either 080 or 081 in adaption icon i get Error. I am only concerned with the Mag Ride light on the instrument cluster staying on all the time. As well as coding the new/used control module directly below. Thanks

Turned the key off then on within 5 seconds and nothing changed I think. There is a new scan below. I went ahead and did 081 and the same thing happened. Now if I go back and type either 080 or 081 in adaption icon i get Error.

I only asked you to check if you can read those channels. The above isn't a real clear answer to that question.

Thanks again in advance for responding to my issue. I believe that what we have here is an old wrench turner (Me) trying to figure out "I.T." computer language/Terms/ECT......

Where would I go to see if the adaptation code 080 and 081 can be read?
Also how can you tell from my scan this (And the channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 110 are documented.
Channel 110 is cold boot.)

With VCDS choose Controller Address 14: Susp. Elect.
[Adaptation-10]
In channel box write: 110
Press [Read]
Wait a little a yellow help is showed.

You can also write channel 080 or 081 and press read, make a screenshot or write what the numbers are, if there are any.

Good morning,
Here is what displays when 080 and 081 are read at the moment. In the beginning of this read process I was not educated on VCDS and started following the bouncing ball and coding 080/081. Obviously not knowing what i was doing or what the outcome would be. It did read something in the beginning and I proceeded to execute "DO IT" . I also entered 081 in the Import Number (0-999) : box in the coding section and executed "DO It" Why? I don't Know maybe excitement that it accepted it? I inserted a link to the photo of the coding page and now need to know what 3 digit number goes into the import number box. keep in mind i have inserted 080/081/110 in this box and accepted it. Again I can't tell you why? To reiterate, It once read 080/081 on the adaption screen I do not know what it read. I executed it though? No it reads error (screen shot below) Help me! If there is still a chance. Car seems to be exactly the same. Thanks again

Do not change the coding for the [14-Susp. Elect.], it is correct at [000012] since this is a 2008 Audi TT (8J) Coupe with a 3.2l VR6.

To clear the code 01794-Control Module - Incorrect Chassis (VIN) Number you will need to follow the procedure below:

As per the Ross-Tech wiki page linked above, ref:
"When found in Audi TT (8J) [14]-Suspension Electronics, and the J250-Electronic Damping Control Module was replaced, it will be necessary to code the J250 and Re-adapt default ride height positions."

Here is the procedure for the " Re-adapt default ride height positions".

Code:

- Re-adapt 'Susp. Elect.' (J250) to default position -  ("Heights for running gear with controlled damping J250")

Specs for Audi TT:
Front Axle = 369mm
 Rear Axle = 355mm
 (Max deviation = +/-50mm)

Prerequisites
- Ignition [ON], Use a Battery maintainer
- Vehicle on level surface
- No persons or gear in Vehicle
- Fuel Tank 50% or more
- Nothing under vehicle
- Door are to remain shut during the entire procedure
Typically when the J250 has been replaced you will need to:
- Code the J250 controller
- Re-adapt default position
- If equipped with Dynamic Headlights, run the Headlight Basic Settings
- Adapt cold start*


1) Select - [14-Susp. Elect.]
[Security Access-16] enter - [31564], [Do it!]


2) Measure the ride height, in millimeters, from the center of the wheel to the edge of fender, 
do this for all four wheels and record the values.

Select [Adaptation - 10]
  Enter in each of the following Channels:

Channel 01 (front left), [Read]
- Enter the [New value] = recorded value for the front Left wheel.
  Then press [Test] and [Save]

Channel 02 (front Right), [Read]
- Enter the [New value] = recorded value for the front Right wheel.
  Then press [Test] and [Save]

Channel 03 (rear left), [Read]
- Enter the [New value] = recorded value for the rear Left wheel.
  Then press [Test] and [Save]

Channel 04 (rear Right), [Read]
- Enter the [New value] = recorded value for the rear Right wheel.
  Then press [Test] and [Save]

Channel 05 (confirmation), [Read]
If all measured values are correct, enter "new value" of 1.
[Test] and [Save]


3) Check and clear fault codes. Cycle the ignition as necessary and recheck for fault codes.

*Note: It maybe necessary to perform the [Security Access] of [20117] to enable the (Cold Start/Reset), Adaptation Channel [110], see VCDS for important notes.

If needed, perform the: [55] - Headlight Aim Control - Basic Settings

This procedure is similar to the 34-Level Control adaptation, Suspension Level Control Calibration
