Hi
I am trying to set up my suspension in adaptation settings but I can only input the first wheel setting, as soon as I get to channel 2 all I get is errors and loss off coding , it says it's not logged in, ECU problem.?
Any help greatfully welcome

Please click on the link in post #2.

A picture is not what we want here. We want the text of a scan.

Surely, if you can scan the car, you can copy & paste the text of the scan.

Since an Auto-Scan is usually many tens, or even hundreds, of lines long I don't see how you can fit the whole Auto-Scan into a single picture?

As Uwe says just copy and paste the text file that is automatically saved, preferably between

tags.

If it were mine, the first thing I would do is to clear the fault codes in that module, then check what comes back. I would expect "Control Position not Learned" to come back immediately, but the others not.

The low voltage code has me wondering: Are you using a battery charger, or doing this with the engine running? These modules do not like doing this calibration procedure with the voltage even marginally low.

If "Suspension Level Control -- Control Limit Surpassed" comes back, I would look carefully at the measuring values for each corner. It's possible one of the height sensors is out-of-whack.

Hi Uwe

Thanks for your feedback, yes the battery was flat and I was charging it at the time of the scan so that probably explains that, I will rescan tomorrow and clear faults as you suggested, from memory the control limit surpassed does come back every time so maybe I need to look at the height sensors like you suggested. As regards to verification yes I did buy my Vagcom from Ilexa I do still have the receipt somewhere,
regards Neil.

Hi hope someone can help,

ive rescanned again this evening and a new fault has occurred excessive comm error, I am trying to learn the suspension levels please read previous post. today I managed to input three of the wheel heights before all the four channels flash up with error ! .Previously When I check the fault I get Control limit surpassed intermittent, and control position not learned, I then have to clear faults before I can try again but I can never finish inputting all four.
any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, please read VAG SelfStudyProgram 243 part 1&2. This will greatly improve your understanding of your cars airsuspension system, as well as other systems. Then using the «intro» videos for VCDS, and post questions/answers here will greatly benefit you. I am also a newbe, but when I have sorted my issues, I also post a final post for that topic/issue with the solution, so maybe others find help in their quest for a possible answer.

Now, I have a newer A6 Allroad, and one of several conditions is that the doors must be closed. Not sure if your fault code regarding doorlock here can cause issues, but try clear code and try again. Code issue link (please see link: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01560)
Also make sure you have car on charge, when doing VCDS work, if charger is small/weak, it might not keep up with cars consumption when ignition is on, make sure charger is suitable for the job.

Hi all

Thanks for all your inputs, all helped.
After going through all the faults and correcting them one by one ie door not safe things like that, i replaced the valve block which ended up coming into fault. On replacing it i noticed that the compressor pump had a Land Rover label on it:rolleyes: so obliviously alarm bells rang,i also noted that the vent valve was cable tied on, so basically a bodge.
Although the compressor is very similar in many ways the vent valve didn't fit properly. So i sourced another compressor ( Correct one) re scanned and cleared faults, ran car raises/lowers as it should do
Regards
Neil.
