2007 Audi RS4 Cruise Control will not function - Fixed

So I have some sort of issue with my cruise control not coming on, I have checked the long code in engine to make sure cruise control is installed and verified the function of all switches with the measuring blocks in . When I first cycle the key and all the cluster lights cycle the cruise is not one that comes on, any and all help would greatly be appreciated. I am new to VCDS so I may not understand the help at first yet I am learning.

Update, found when driving how it opens the top switch contacts, closest to driver, cruise comes on, now im curious if i just remove that switch from the system or how to fix it as it is a new switch.

EDIT: after removing it and ground checking it, the switch always showed a very close amount of continuity no matter the position extended or retracted, decided to just try again. The car work like it should cruise comes on, foot slightly on the clutch kicks it off and still need full clutch depression for the car to start, Thanks to VCDS for allowing me to watch the moment the switch positions change :)

I did that to verify my configs on the car, I just posted an update above you, sorry for the late response had a test drive to make sure its working.

Go to 01-08-066. What is the data shown there? Do you see anything change if you depress the clutch pedal down a few inches?

Jef, I had an issue with the new switch always showing closed so it never allowed the system to go into cruise, since bench checking and reinstalling making sure not to "lock" it into position to far now the measuring blocks function as they should.

There are 2 clutch switches on the B7 RS4, an upper and lower, and the replacements had (still have probably) an annoying feature that if yo test them before installation they break internally (no visible damage) and hence the new switch doesn't fix the problem.

I had this happen to me when I owned my B7 RS4 and read about many other owners on rs6.com who had the same problem.

A clue whether it's the top clutch switch is that when dipping the clutch to change gear the engine revs seem to hang instead of dropping fairly rapidly ;)
