Long story short, I swapped the motor on my 2014 Passat TDI due to a timing failure that caused all of the rockers to break and bent valves.
I have the new motor in now and ready to go. New filters and fluids are in. Quadruple checked all of the lines and ground and everything seems good.
I am trying to prime the pump to get all of the air out of the lines and fuel ready to go. It's the last thing now before I can attempt to crank it. I can't seem to get the pumps to turn on. I noticed that my fuel gauge does not move and it shows empty. I know I have at least half a tank of diesel in there. I keep getting the code B103E. I wonder if that has anything to do. Maybe a bad sensor? Thoughts?
When I did hook the battery up to the charger, the positive and negative wires touched for a second, which blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse. All fuses are good now. Could blowing the fuse blown something with the fuel pump too?
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
Fyi, the car is currently on jack stands with the front wheels off and the front bumper off as well, which is why the other codes come up.
