    Golf gte high voltage battery

    Hi all,

    quick one, i got a golf GTE HV battery off the car which i am testing on the bench. i have connected to address 8C and can view error code but it wont let me clear them. do you need a security code or something to do this ?

    No, clearing fault codes should not require a security access.

    What fault codes does it have? Hint: There is a [Copy Codes] button on the Fault Codes screen.

    I think every one of those fault codes is one that I would expect to come back (i.e. a fault condition that still exists) with the battery sitting by itself, outside the car.

    i connected up the hv interlock so it was removed thus intermittent error. when i hit clear code. vcds reply with control refused to clear codes.
