The EEPROM fault in the ECU is rather daunting, but..

It couldn't hurt to check Immobilizer Measuring Blocks in Instrument Cluster to see what they show:

Thanks Uwe I'll take a look at that later today and report back with my findings or if I work out the solution.

Yes the EEprom fault is a daunting one I would expect to see that if an ECU has had map altered and there is a checksum error but its 100% not had anything done with the rom file unless them changing the battery has caused the error but as you know the rom file is hard written and very unlikely I like a challenge

Have you tried cold-booting everything? Disconnect battery cables. Short battery cables together (away from the battery!). Reconnect. This has been known to help with inexplicable immobilizer problems. I don't have much hope for it here, but it doesn't cost much to try.

I have tried the cold reboot I think the EEprom error is the issue as it's a marelli ECU I'm unable to pull the map file off if it was Bosch I would simply pull map off and remove immobiliser this one i have suggested they order a full replacement kit to go in they found a set ECU , Clocks ect for Ł50 so should be a cheap fix

Did you try to recode it to default the eeprom table several times?

Eeprom's do fail and can indeed be replaced.

Thought I would update as nothing worse then someone searching and not seeing the result

It was the EEprom error causing it the login for ECU would not be accepted yet the dash logged in fine it was obviously something within that partition that was at fault.

Fitted the replacement kit ECU,BCM,Cluster and first turn of the key and away it went

Could an admin or mod kindly edit post title to include ***Fixed***
