Can any knowledgeable folk interpret this VW agent repair on a mk7 Golf that the keys stopped talking to the car?
They fixed it and this is the supposed fix.

Not sure what the on-band power supply control unit is and also what needed doing to the cluster.

That means most likely BCM = body control module. They ran online SVM on it which re-parameterizes and codes the unit online.
Basically means it restores it to per factory spec.

So is the issue that the ”remote” part did not work?

On Board Power supply for me is Voltage Stabilizer not BCM
waste of time to talk if we dont know what is going on

Yes it could be but VAG uses this power supply naming in their official documentation for the bcm. I think it’s a relic from the past the naming.

But had to add that I agree, this all is waste of time until OP clarifies what he’s expecting from here?
Is there a problem now after the fixes?

Maybe I should have added more details
Car is fixed and no longer have it, by VW and this is their job report to fix it.

Now have another car with the same issue so trying to work out what "re parametrise the on band power supply control unit" means
Also what they would have done to "readapted the instrument cluster"

Sounds like some simple coding reset/relearn etc but due to the nomenclature its hard to know what it is.

Readapted instrument cluster means they paired the keys again to immo which is in the instrument cluster.

Both operations they’ve done need online account and access to VW security / FaZit.

If you don’t have online access to VW systems then I’m afraid yes :(
