Buying a used Hex-V2 with 3 Vins and upgrading questions cost

If I buy a used Hex-V2 cable from a friend will I be able to use it or do I have to transfer the ownership? Is there a cost??

Also what would be the cost to upgrade from 3 Vin to unlimited Vin??


Or if I upgrade from a used hex-v2 3 Vin to unlimited Vin do I become a registered user???

As the V2 is registered to the original owner, it should connect to the car and work. However, if all VINs have been recorded, only the basic functions (left hand portion of a controller screen) will work since a VIN must registered to use the advanced functions (right hand portion of a controller screen).

Most likely you will need to do a registration with an upgrade of the VIN count. Contact sales and we will work with you on that. There will be a fee.
