Hi all, hopefully you can help me. I have an 08 Aud A4 Avant Quattro that started life as a 2.0l petrol automatic. I have since swapped in an AZV 2.0 16v TDI and converted the gearbox to an 0A3 6 speed manual. Wiring harness used was from a period correct Audi A4 TDI.
As you can imagine, there are some conflicts. The two that I am most vexed by are the ECU for the AZV will not take coding to tell it that it is in an AWD car.
The other is the ABS module (Bosch 8.0) is doing a lot of complaining. Glow plug light flashing, ABS light on, brake light on, brake light warning in DIS display on, traction control light on, beeping. I would love to make all these things play nicely together so I can finish this car and give it to my wife and get it off my plate. There is no coding suggestion in the ABS module when using VCDS like there is in all the other modules. It states to contact Ross Tech to which I am told I should just post here and maybe someone can help me as they dont know any of the coding for this.

To be clear the main focus is dealing with the two codes in the ABS module that state to check the coding of the other modules and the airbag control module. The airbag code wasnt there before any of this work was done and no coding has been changed to the airbag module that I recall, but its been a long time. I can state that as far as the airbag system goes, I did swap in some B6 recaros of which yielded two faults. One for the seat recognition signal from the passenger seat implausible (which I learned was due to a unique to 2008 bladder in the seat) which I sorted by swapping the bladder from the stock seat into the recaro. The other being the centre rear seatbelt ignitor code which has to do with the differences between the two pyrotechnic seatbelt retractors. That was swapped too and as you can see there are no faults in the airbag module.
Thanks for any help. I do expect and am prepared that I may need to buy an ECU from a BRE so the Audi electronics will be happy, so I am not ruling that out.
