Seat Ibiza 2012 1.2 CFWA UK Spec.

Can anyone help me with this fault code? 16244
I thought it could be a short in some of the EGR temperatures sensor with need 5v reference.
I discoonnected all sensors that need 5v reference voltage.
G40, G212, G247, G581, J336, V157 and GX2 "containing G79 & G185"
But the orginal fault is still there.

I disconnected the T60 on the Engine ECU, I never knew this was possible to do and still able to scan the engine ECU.
I cleared the DTC of the engine and it is still there.

I disconnected the T60 on the Engine ECU, I never knew this was possible to do and still able to scan the engine ECU.
I cleared the DTC of the engine and it is still there
.


Okay and are all fuses and reference supply voltages/terminals good to ECU on large plug side without interference from a connection on the large plug side, because if they are did you know ECU is a toaster?

Did you verify each consumer on the large plug side yet?

See if you actually read the RTFB and WD you would know this wouldn't you Pile?

Have you considered the pin bifurcation process where one pin at a time is removed to large plug and clearing fault memory to see if DTC vacates and if voltage wakes up yet?

Do you understand what isolation of a circuit is, because removing the engine side T connector bifurcated it and showed you had a problem that resides either with ECU or the plug to it and anything connected to it?

All ground to T94/1, T94/2 & T94/4 are good, resistance between battery-ve to each ground terminals are 0.5 ohm and load test with 100a 1ohm resister and measure ground voltage different between Battery-ve to each terminals is 0.6v
Test terminals T94/3, T94/5 & T94/6 voltage drop different is 0.7v with load of 100a 1ohm resistor. Relay is working when I put negative to T94/69.

Measure 5v suppy to each sensors and found that the accelerator sensor G75, T94/15 is 1.4v and the G185, T94/13 is 5.1v.
I checked resistance between T94/15 to G79 pin2 is 0.5 ohm.
I put in 5v supply to the G79, measure 4.2ma and G185 is 3.5ma @ 5v
WD show that 5v supply from T94/15 to G79 t2 is not share to any other sensor.

Look like ECU is not putting 5v supply to the G79.
Is this a common problem of this Delphi ECU?

Yes, when G79 connected. it is 1.2v, and disconnected 1.3v.
Make no different if T60 is connected or not.

Yes, I measured resistance of all 6 terminals of the G79 & G185 against battery-ve, both side disconnected from ECU and accelerator pedal.
Infinity readings on all 6 pins of the Accelerator pedal.

Did you know you could create a bench harness and check ecu isolated for 5 volt output, if it exists remove one pin at a time in car on that side plug & while clearing codes until it changes DTC to cleared and that pin would then be the respective track in issue or anything shared?

I took time to studying the WD and looked for all pins that need 5V.
On T94/13, T94/14 & T94/15 supply 5v to the accelerator pedal track 1 & 2 and Particulate Pressure sensor.
All were disconnected and fault code still remains. No DTC code for accelerator sensor being disconnected.
I already checked the wiring and resistance between both ends and to chassis ground for G79 & G185
G505 was disconnected and resistance checked between T94/14 and T3/1, good, 0.5ohm. Then checked for short to ground and found it was showing short.
I checked wiring and found the wire was compressed behind the ABS module.
Repaired the wiring and all is good now.
16244 - Sensor Reference Voltage A is now cleared and gone.
Everything is back online; the engine is now starting and running.

As this fault was not open circuit but it was short circuit...

I think at some point you are not done with this repair & after "wiggle work" all depends on how long the wire stays in place or before it corrodes, what?

Did you know the VAG wire harness is made of straw and human feces and when feces gets in a VAG it creates an STD?

Can you duplicate the condition to verify as per JPPSG?

The problem is fixed.
I am just asking was the DTC is having incorrect text description in the first place?
Saying it is open circuit when in fact was short circuit.
If it been open circuit on the G505, then it would not have killed the 5v supply to the G79.
