The problem is fixed.
I am just asking was the DTC is having incorrect text description in the first place?
Saying it is open circuit when in fact was short circuit.
If it been open circuit on the G505, then it would not have killed the 5v supply to the G79.


Are you sure, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, did you duplicate to see with decade box to verify this?

One would have to ask the people who programmed the fault detection and reporting logic in the ECU that question. ;)
