Hey!

The problem car at the moment is the Volkswagen Passat model 2001.
The original Ecu will have to be replaced because the engine is fitted with more powerful nozzles than the original one, which has been disassembled from a crashed car. The same crashed car takes an ECU optimized for these most powerful nozzles.

We followed the instructions for this link http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_III_ECU_Swapping#Engine_Control_Unit_.28ECU.29_Swapping_.28USED_ECU.29, but right from the start it will stop the error message. "SKC code incorrect"
I was looking at the SKC code before switching to VagTacho and we know the code, but VagTacho claims that the old and new used ECUs would have the same code. Can this be true? and what should we try next to get the new used ecu to work on that car?

Preheat and immobilizer lights on instrument cluster blink when engine ecu is replaced with new used

These codes are read from the new used ECU.

That seems highly unlikely. As in the chances of that are something on the order of 1 in 10,000. ;)

Your scan doesn't show any ECU at all.

Does this mean that this car is not immo 3 but immo 2?

I only noticed this now. Is this because of that DTC (1 Fault Found: 01177 - Engine Control Unit 65-10 - Unauthorized - Intermittent)

No, since the instrument cluster knows the car's VIN, I think it's pretty safe to conclude that this car is Immo-3.

I would expect this fault code is there due to you having swapped ECUs at some point.

Need to establish communication issue with ECU in scan first?

Does check engine illuminate?

Does car crank, start and die after 2 seconds?

Why not just defeat Immobilizer?

Is Tune code running FOD interference maybe bad xsum?

If you think the ECU is broken, you're wrong. The ecu has been dismantled from a crashed car, but here the engine worked with these nozzles and the ecu.

Does check engine illuminate?
Yes and immo light too.

Does car crank, start and die after 2 seconds?
Yes, Exactly.

Why not just defeat Immobilizer?
The owner would like the immobilizer to be a last resort.
I am researching the subject to remove the immobilizer, but I have not found any program / help how to do this.

Is Tune code running FOD interference maybe bad xsum?
I don't understand this question, sorry :(

The owner said that before disassembling the parts, he had started the car and let it idle and gasified the engine. The engine had run smoothly at all revs.
The problems started when the crash car parts were put in the current car.

Bad Math...........

Is this somehow related to the ecu/tuning program?

This amazes me and even a little pissed off..

How do parts in a crash car rotate the engine nicely but not rotate another same engine? :banghead:

Don't be mad at me I'm just the messenger, okay?

Hot sauce for taco?

Problem solved

The owner had taken a car with a power engine control unit, instrument cluster and keys. Now the car is operating normally.

Now all you have to do is adjust the central locking system so that all the doors open and close with one click, including the tailgate.
