09 Electronics message normal on Atlas?

When I try to open the 09 Central Electronics of my 2018 Atlas, I get the following message:

Coding is NOT Supported by this Control Module Variant. Replacement Control Modules must be parameterized by using the Factory Tool and Software-Version-Management (SVM)

Is this normal on the Atlas? I'm used to my Jetta so sorry if this is stupid.

If you look at the hex09 module in your auto-scan, you will see that the "coding" has a zero-string. That means that your MQB build- platform, Atlas has one of the later model BCM s where ALL the software switches that were in "Coding" are now in Adaptation channels.

What are you attempting to do?

801: hi again- I'm mighty confused (well......... to be fair - I'm more confused than normal) !

hmm......... aren't these 3 x tweaks adaptation channel based on MQB platform vehicles? Except perhaps for the auto-rain close tweak, which requires access to the rain-light sensor coding - which, although the RLS is a LIN slave to the BCM- this still does NOT require access to the BCM coding.

I've clearly missed something - please help!!!

I guess I don't know. I'm fairly new to this. I coded my mk5 Jetta pretty heavily and I guess I'm just not used to the adaption processes (aside from the mk6 steering wheel, new transmission). So to answer your question, maybe? I'm more seeking direction.

^^^801: so, I have this sense of ownership of your problem - I guess because you have been kind and honest in your response to my questions!!! Which of the tweaks do you want to start with? Perhaps windows up/down with remote?

PS: I'm less familiar with the Atlas- but I'm aware that in other late-model MQB platform vehicles, the tweak to disable auto start/stop (which is called the "voltage method") won't work.

PPS: Also, I'm aware that the auto rain-close tweak has been problematic on some MQB platform vehicles (depending on the type of rain sensor that's fitted) - again, not sure if this applies to the Atlas.

Right now the only thing that's driving me nuts are the single fog on when turning.

If you want to turn off the "fog lights as cornering lights" feature, try changing the following adaptation channels in the BCM with SA login 31347
