Audi B7 S4 Cruise Control retro fit issues

Hi Guys I know this has been gone over a million times but I have read every post on every page and I still cant get this to work, I have a b7 S4 that we have fitted a cruise control stalk into and have coded it in the (correct) way following every possible option I can find and I still have no luck, I can go in through vcds and view that all the buttons for the cruise are working which they are and same for the brake switch (which is new) oh and its and auto, I have one fault code showing that was already in the car before the retro fit and clears but comes back as soon as engine is started even without touching the throttle but so far have not found the source of this. has any one got any other ideas, I tried to do a throttle adaption but it does not allow me to do it the way that the ross-tech web site suggests. here is the auto scan from the car. Thanks

Please explain step-by-step what you're doing and what happens when it "does not allow" it.

Are you sure you've done the Coding-II with 11463?

I would expect to see a 'G' in the component field once that's done, like this:

    Code:
    Component: 4.2L V8/5V G 0020

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

HI Uwe thanks for getting me verified and sorry for taking so long to reply I had to wait to get the car back from the guy Im trying to sort it for, I managed to work out the throttle adaption thing I just hadn't read every thing about on some models you have to go into basic settings and do it that way and what was my issue so that's all done and sorted but as for the cruise control Im still having no luck I have checked codes and checked for that (G) you mention and it does not appear I have included some images so you can see what Im doing hope you can help.

Please try 16167 and see if that makes the 'A' in the Component field go away. You'll need to exit the control module and possibly cycle the ignition to see if it took effect.

Thanks Again Uwe you have solved all my issues, I cant explain how many times I have tried code 16167 to deactivate any thing that was in the system and then re activate and nothing has worked and then you say to do it but say cycle the ignition a few times and I do that turn it on and off a few times and I see it the (A) disappeared and I knew then it was going to happen popped 11463 in ignition off and on a few times and the (G) was there, the test drive was the best feeling ever, Thanks very much just shows I have a lot to learn but was well worth buying my hex-net mobile for the amount of cars I work on just need to get more practice on it.

    Thanks again Mike
