2015 MK7 GTI MIB1 --> MIB2 Retrofit w/out hacked 5F

My son and I installed a new MIBII brain unit (3Q0035876A) into his 2015 GTI S that came originally with MIBI (5G0035844) head unit and base audio. I also upgraded the screen to the 8" glass screen. When I first plugged the units in, there was component protection on the 5F which I had removed by a VW dealer. While the unit had CP everything worked (CarPlay, radio, Bluetooth, etc.) but with no sound. After CP was removed, I now have sound but the unit seems to be stuck in Fender "boot" screen. The tech at the dealer tried to set the coding back to my base coding but nothing seems to resolve this "stuck" screen. I've attempted to change the 5F coding to '16 Golf R w/ MIBII and the color of the unit change to blue but it is still stuck at the boot screen. If anyone could provide a solution or some guidance to hopefully get the unit out of the boot screen and fully functioning I'd greatly appreciate it!

You'll need more than the correct coding to get it working.
There are licenses (Feature Enable Codes) that control the availability of features like navigation, App connect (Carplay, Android Auto) etc that are tied to the VIN of the vehicle that the MIB unit came from.
You cannot restore a license to a car that didn't have that feature from factory.
So for example your MIB1 did not have App connect, so you need to either purchase this as a FEC activation code (and then have the dealer apply it) or use some other more 'creative' methods to address it.
Did your dealer also remove CP from your amp, gateway, radar, cluster, BCM etc? Did they restore available FEC to the newly installed MIB, gateway, radar etc?

These sort of things a bit of a grey area. There are folks on here who can point you in the right direction if you ask politely, but that's not what this forum is for.

The MIBII unit was brand new, does it still need FEC's? Initially after install, App Connect and other features worked just with no sound but now I cant seem to get into the radio at all. Shouldn't basic features such as radio, Bluetooth, etc. still work if they were available on the MIBI? I am open to paying for FEC's for features like App Connect, but want to make sure I will be able to use the head unit before making that purchase. The VW tech told me that all CP was removed. Trying to do this retrofit as legitimately as possible.

After CP is removed, only the radio will work. FEC need to be restored for other features including bluetooth.

But You can't restore FEC from MIB1 tot MIB2, you'll need a Patches Unit weich hast deactivated CP and activated all FEC

^ you can some. For example bluetooth is possible as same FeC is for both MIB1 and MIB2. But other features like app connect not possible.
And app connect you cannot activate even you would buy the official license. Reason is that your car did not have a suitable MIB unit from factory which in turn causes that when you try to enable the FeC for it, the factory will deny it.
And given the fact that the license is one use only, you will lose it and the money you paid for it.

Only option is APG Poland or Vag navisystem like companies.

Yes exactly. BT itself will work without Appconnect license, it just needs the FeC restored through online connection. BUT Appconnect is not possible by any official means to retrofitted MIB units if the original unit did not have it.
