Hi,
that is my main Project at the moment.
I musst change to an newer ABS/ESP because of Stop&Go function don't work with the newer FL ACC Sensor and the older 5Q0 ABS together.
Car: A3 8v, 2014, 2L TDI, DSG

With the new sensor I become an nice failure short before the car get to stand still.

My main question is about the coding of the newer ABS.
I have plug the 3q0 ABS to the car. Put my old 5Q0 Coding in and the APK.
And everything looks good to the moment. Only basic setting and the last Failure because the ABS hang upside down in the engine bay?
So have somebody experience with that change? Work an 1to1 Coding or it makes trouble during the real drive situation?

There’s a lot of coding info for it. For example Somnus has a link in his signature to an excel file which has most of the IPB pump bytes explained.

Yes. You wrote that you already tried it so it should work. I installed the AB ABS unit. In your case it would be a simple swap as you’re current unit has also 46pin connector. I had 38pin on the old one so it was a nightmare :)

One more question.
Today I bring the ABS Modul in position near to the old BAS Modul. In a Diesel version normally you have to let down the engine.
But I try it from the downside to bring it in position. However I plug it again in and try to play with the Basic settings.
Now I have only 3 Faults

Hmmm, for the last one I think you need to drive a bit and then try the reset. The coding should be the same. I presume you have the passive system using ABS sensors?

yes, the tire speed standard stuff.
not the preassure system.

I wondering that these ist two times there and "display". it looks like that the ABS search the rest of preassure measure system. hmm I hope tomorrow have some DIY shops open that I can change it finally and change the fluid.

Oh, you know how to do the change of fluid. I know that I have to start in the front. And for the first time, both sides oben in the front after that both sides in the rear. Also is an option in the Vcds software to change fluid. I should do this or is that not needed per software

I did it both ways. First started with VCDS to fill the pump. After doing it few times, I finished with the normal brake pedal pumping method :)

If I remember it correctly the bleeding sequence was passenger front, driver rear, driver front and passenger rear.

Hii,

Job done. The new ABS is installed. Everything works perfect. Coding is 1to1 the same.
Fluid change was really easy and with no trouble. I started in the Front with both sides parallel then to the rear and also both parallel.
Than go back to the Front and again both parallel und to the rear and both parallel.

Thanks for support.
And the Main reason to do this is that now Stop & Go work with the FL ACC Sensor.

Next step is to get run all the PreSense or AWV (I don't know it in English) features.
Anybody an idea?

it ist called front assist.
the acc sensor detect an car much slower the you. then you got an message in the cluster attention. the abs profile the brake for much harder brake than normal and short bevor it crashes the brake come in automaticly.
Or. if you have an active lane assist and don't react on the steering wheel, you get the warning in cluster with an beep, than an short brake shock and than an emergency brake. the emergency brake work but the short brake shock not,
