I am sure. In my opinion, they put such blocks on Pasat. The block is the same, but its software is different. If you flash it, you can continue to play with encodings. Pay attention to the software block.
Did the instrument panel in the car change? Is there an old block number and its software?

The only things that was changed is the abs module. Instrument panel is original.
I sent an email to ECS Tuning where I purchased the new abs module. What do you are my options at this point?

Another thing that can prevent coding taking is if there is a VIN mismatch.
Type them into VCDS in the ABS brakes section?

So You have a scan with old module installed or not? If You ever have done an autoscan of this car when original ABS module was installed, it is automatically saved in Scans folder under VCDS folder on Your computer. Does not matter, You saved it Yourself or not.

Alfa - people in post-soviet and other Russian speaking countries, like me, understand, what You mean with term "Блок". In English correct translation would be "unit" or "module". Term "block" has a different meaning
So if I look for another abs module does it need to have the exact same #1KO 907 379 BJ...?

Exactly the same, or possibly better, one that supersedes it in the parts catalog.
You have an 8P chassis car, which is very Mk.5/Mk6 (1K) like. I would be very surprised if module intended for 8J-chassis car (B8, longitudinal engine/trans) was even remotely compatible.

An MK60EC1 will always need to be coded when it's installed in a different car (or even if it's a virgin that's never been installed in any car).

You will get previous coding cleared anyway, when module is connected to Your car. So search in Your computer for earlier scans with Your original module installed. Or make a new autoscan and ask for help here, when You will have new and correct replacement module installed.P.S. Uwe was faster

So I istalled the new abs module with matching numbers...its accepted the coding right away. I bleed the brake system and then went into vcds - block 3 abs and performed the brake bleed from there until completion.
I ran an auto scan and I still have a dash full of lights = dtc's
Can you take a look at the recent auto scan and let me know then next steps to remove these dtc's?
