It might be useful if we knew what year RS4, with what transmission. The best way to present that information would be for you to post an Auto-Scan.

Does VCDS display the percentage of clutch wear?
It's a 2007 RS4 Manual 6 speed. Autoscan doesn't work on the RS4, works on my three other Audi's.

So that's a B7 RS4 then?
Auto detect doesn't work on the B7 as the CAN "Gateway" (built-in to the instruments) doesn't keep an installation list, so you have to manually select the B7 platform from the dropdown list.
Try that and then post the auto-Scan here - see my signature for a "How-To".
There is no monitor for clutch wear on the B7 manual (A4, S4 or RS4) - what are you concerned about? I ran a B7 RS4 manual for 10 years and over 84,000 miles on the original clutch but others managed to need a new clutch after less then 20,000 miles so I think driving style has a big effect - but I did "enjoy" the performance to the full
If you dump the clutch at big revs then the clutch does struggle to fully engage (with all that power and quattro it's not a surprise) so when I wanted a quick getaway I always engage the clutch at around 2000 rpm and only floored the throttle when the car was starting to roll.
VCDS can only show you what the car knows, and the car doesn't know. It's a manual transmission, and a manual clutch. There are no sensors of any kind.
