Hello everyone,
i just purchased a VCDS from one local dealer and it doesnt seem to work as it should. Its my first time using something like this, so I have no idea about what problemes I may encounter.
Story short; i get error Unable to find .ROD file, EV_DashboardVDDMQBAB 009040(Au37).

It tells me to make an auto-scan and ask for support, so i did.

Advanced identification:
Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable here.

My autoscan result looks like that:

Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable here.

What "dealer" did you buy it from? Somehow, I don't think it's one on this list.

What you have there is a clone/pirate copy of one of our previous-generation interfaces that was originally sold in the Chinese market. Since you just bought it, you should return it and demand a full refund.

Legitimate VCDS systems are available directly from us:
https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/cat/VCDS

... Or from any of our authorized resellers:
http://www.ross-tech.com/distributors.php

Let us know if/when you get one and we'll adjust your forum status.
